Huston, we have a problem.

I came home today and went to start finishing up some jobs I was commissioned for and my desk is SOAKED!!!

Only one part has standing water on it, the rest is dry, however, the projects I have beenworking on were in the line of fire.... Well water I guess.

I am beyond devastated and I'm hoping they aren't completely ruined seeing as they haven't had a final coat put on yet due to the humidity. So yet again the weather has bested me in the battle of wits.... I have all the projects sitting on towels next to some fans and a dehumidifier.

Picture of my hometown, my parents say we got at least 5 inches of rain according to their water gauge.

A little bit about us
Hello, I'm Laura, the main crafter and painter. I started this up as a means to help supplement my family of 5 when I'm not working at my job. I've always enjoyed putting things together and painting ever since I was a little girl. During school age, I enjoyed learning about all the different artists from Van Gogh to Degas. As I started into high school, I moved to a different school and was essentially told I really had no talent. That's when I gave up.
I tried doing art a little in college, but was so frustrated that while my friends were drawing amazing things....I couldn't draw at all.

After my husband passed, I took to freestyle painting, letting the brush do all the work while I just listened to my heart and the canvas. It sparked the fire back into my soul.

While I still cannot draw that well, I use my abilities to make sure all the pieces look amazing and something you would be proud to own.
I was blessed to give birth to 3 wonderfully artistic children who thankfully have a very supportive art teacher. Some pieces might be made from them, or it could be mine.... You'll never know 😆
