Announcement:
Deep inhale. 😅 Kayla and I decided that we are just going to end this year focusing on ourselves and advancing our teaching skills. We've been through a lot this past year mentally and emotionally, and we feel that starting off the New Year with a new business will be a better option for everyone involved. We hit the ground running after we purchased the studio. We were so eager to get the doors reopen, and learned quickly there are many hurdles to jump when owning/starting a business, and we are still jumping those hurdles. So. Many. Things. 😅😂 When we hit road blocks, we have to take a step back, refocus and then try another way. But all good things come with time, right? It may not be OUR time, but it's Divine time. It's our Dream! Can't stop, won't stop. 💪🏼🔮 We will be FLYing again in 2024! 🙃🖤❤️🧡

Hey hey! Erin here. Just wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing? How is the first week of school going for your kiddos? For yourself? For all you stay at home moms/dads? Teachers?

My youngest is off to pre-k this year, so this is the first time in 8 years I've been home alone with all 3 kids off to school. Not sure how I feel about it yet. It's weird. 😅

Kayla & I are taking this alone time to focus more on what we need to do to reopen this studio. And focusing more on ourselves. As humans, we always seem to push ourselves in the corner while we take care of everyone else. We hope to help change that. No one puts Baby in the corner. 💪🏼🙃❤️🖤🧡

Hey hey! Erin here.. Update for you all:
Most of you already know, but some of you may not know.. about my husband's motorcycle accident that happened back in October. His leg got pretty banged up and he had to have several surgeries. Then back in April he got an infection and had to have another surgery. Things have went well and his last appointment determined he's cleared to go back to work! Which is so exciting and such a HUGE relief! Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers on his recovery and our family! 🥰

Now we are FINALLY mentally and emotionally more available to follow along with plans!! On that note... Kayla and I finished our business plan! 🥳 Now only our budget needs to be finished, so we know what kind of funds we are after for a business loan. We are working on a few things to help raise our funds, which we will share in the near future! We are getting closer and closer!! 😁🙃🖤❤️🧡

Keeping a Golden state of mind in these trying times!!! Hey hey, Erin here again with another quick update! Our wishful plans of reopening this Summer has definitely been pushed back until Fall. My husband's leg got really bad infected and he had to have another surgery... it also came with an unexpected plan of antiobiotics needing to be administered through IV every 8 hours for the next 6 weeks. We'll be tied up with those treatments until May 22. From there Kayla and I plan on hustling a location so we can be reopened by Sept. September is our goal as long as we can find the perfect space!! Keep us in your thoughts, fingers crossed and all the good juju our way! We love you guys and really can't wait to FLY with you all! 🥰🖤❤️🧡🙃

Hey hey! Erin here... Just wanted to give a quick update on personal things and studio things.
Personal things: My husband is going April 10 for his 5th surgery. We got a second opinion and they suspect the hardware is infected, so they will be removing all of that and then doing another option for him to heal properly. He's walking again finally with no crutches and should be able to continue that way even after surgery. Hoping this one will be the last and we have no more complications. Keep us in your thoughts please over the next few weeks.🥰
Studio things: Our biz plan is almost complete, we just have to crunch numbers and we're done! Next step will be starting the loan process and finding a location. Our ideal location will have tall ceilings so we can accommodate all the aerial things! 🤞🏻We can't wait to FLY with you all! 🖤❤️🧡

Hey future aerialists! Erin here.. We hope you all are having a great year so far! We had a pretty big hiccup in our plans with my husband's motorcycle accident as some of you already know. He is doing much better now, but healing isn't going quite as planned and more treatment options may be in the near future. Please keep us in your thoughts! We hope you all understand our reasoning of not being mentally able to take on re-opening the studio during this time. We'll be putting the wraps on our business plan within the next month and then the search for a location will officially begin! Please continue to follow us for updates! We are rebranding! Survey polls coming soon! We can't wait to FLY with you! 🖤❤️🧡

Hey hey future FLYers!!! UPDATE: Erin here... My husband had his final surgery and is slowly on the mend! Thanks to you all that kept us in your thoughts & prayers! He won't go back to normal activites/work until May 2023. On that note, our studio plans have been pushed back as I'm playing full-time mom and nurse now. 😅 Unfortunately, with all the challenges we have had this past year, we can safely say it will be Summer or Fall of 2023 before we re-open! There is NOT a set date as of yet!

Things going on in the background:
A) We are slowly working on our biz plan so we can get a biz loan, as my time is stretched thin here lately. A biz loan will cover more aerial equipment needed and the build out of the location we have in mind, which is in need of major renovations.
B) We are creating curriculum & syllabus sheets for all apparatuses and levels. We believe this is crucial for us to be the best and safest studio! Establishing a strong foundation of technique is very important in aerial and pole fitness, as it ensures safety from injuries. We will build on these foundations, safely progressing & challenging your own personal skills at your own pace. Having a syllabus, you will know what you are learning and this also sets the reality that those bada$$ tricks will have to wait! It's not a race, it's a journey!
C) We are RE-BRANDING! Website is almost complete and our new logo (we know, we know... 🥴 it also got pushed back upon the accident.) Since colors will change with re-branding, we will have yoga mats for sale! A seperate post will be made for that later on.
D) Surveys: Coming Soon! So we can get to know you all a little better and what you are looking for here at FSAF!

Hey crew! Erin here.. Kayla and I had some exciting announcements about the studio. But the Universe keeps throwing forks in the spokes.. My husband was hit by a car on his motorcycle over the weekend and has went through multiple surgeries on his lower leg. So that announcement is on hold for a few weeks to say the least. ANOTHER UPDATE:

We are still awaiting for the perfect space to call FSAF's future home. New leads have come up weekly, but not exactly fitting our aerial criteria.. To be completely transparent, we have limited funds and all the places we have seen are asking for $1,500-2,000+ monthly; not including the insurance, utilities, scheduling programs, instructor pay, etc etc, these things add up quickly. They expect a 3-5 year lease, so it's a little intimadating to say the least, especially post a questionable pandemic. 😅

Soooooo as we wait, you can catch us around Fort Smith doing FREE Pop-Up Aerial Events! Where you can snag some FREE popcorn by one of our Popcorn Tending Aerialists, check out our growing aerial merch, try a demo pose, enter for raffles and hang with our FLY Crew. I will still be offering 1-on-1 aerial instruction and aerial performances with Sacred Somatics Circus when we feel comfortable and are able to do so again!
