Hi !! It has been a while since we have posted anything so we have 3 things that we need to let yáll know about.
Just wanted to let y 'all know that we are playing for "Best Yet Night" this thursday at First Baptist Forney. Dinner is at 6pm and we play at 7pm. This is one of our favorite events of the year. We are looking forward to seeing everyone.
Next, We want to offer our deepest sympathy to Brenda Elery and all of her family in the loss of her sister Cecilia Baker Meler. Brenda, we love you and are praying for God's comfort and peace that only HE can provide. Matthew 5:4 and Psalm 147:3
And last but not least, we have been together as a band for around 7 years plus or minus… with the original 6 members and that is pretty long run for a band. With that being said, our Banjo player Brad Crawford is stepping out of the group for a while. Brad has some things that he wants and needs to do and we all understand that. He leaves our group on good terms and with our blessing. Brad will always be a member of the Strings of Faith, and you will still see him play with us on occasion. We have been blessed and honored to play music with such a Godly man. Don't be surprised if you see him and James play for the offering one morning at Church.
So now we welcome the new Banjo player to the group, Bill Ash !! Bill is a great musician and Banjo player. He has already played a couple of gigs with us and fits into our group really well. Bill has quick and sharp sense of humor that you will find out pretty soon. We look forward to hearing Bill's arch top banjo ringing out and that tenor voice adding some harmony and leads to our group. Bill is a Godly man that loves the Lord and we are proud to welcome him to the Strings of Faith!!
