itment to providing free art classes to children with a history of abuse through grants, profits, and donations. Founding artist April Hoff holds an interdisciplinary degree in fine art, with emphasis in painting and drawing. However, she uses multiple mediums for creative expression and teaching. In addition to formal art training and professional practice, April began working with special needs kids in the public school systems starting in 2005. From 2010-2016 she often found herself placed with the most difficult behavior children because of an innate ability to form trust, relationship, and help children feel safe.

Need a discount for art camp? Refer someone and you both get $25 off! Valid on 4-day camp registrations until 7/7.

Use code 25SUMMER during registration to receive the discount.

Both families will receive the $25 discount, per child, for full four-day camp registrations.

Partial camps, Art Break Mondays, Clay classes, and other classes are not eligible.

You may refer more than one child / family.

(Ages 8+) Participants will learn digital photography and cyanotype photographic processes. We’ll start with preparing our cyanotype exposure frames and receiving a brief lesson in photography composition.

Cyanotype creates beautifully rich silhouettes and subtle detail in hues ranging from cyan to indigo. Then everyone will head outside to take photos using a tiny Vivitar keychain camera with a fixed-focus plastic lens and a Canon DSLR to compare results. Prints will be ready for pick up on Saturday or can be mailed to you for an extra $10 fee.

$75 includes all cyanotype materials, use of both cameras, and prints of photos taken if picked up in person after being processed. Minimum 3 enrolled to have class, sack lunch and water bottle required.

(Ages 8+) Painters will learn proper brush techniques, color mixing, and composition while painting with acrylic on stretched canvases. If the weather allows, we’ll do our second painting, watercolor, outdoors plein air in the shade.

Artingales is thrilled to collaborate with Valley Art Association and Gann Bros. Printing again for International Print Day in May! We're doing free accessible printmaking from 1:30 - 2:45 (may go longer), Valley Art will have steamroller printing from 11am-4pm, and Gann Bros. will have letterpress demos. Our friend, A. Georgi Frie has dry point for you and they'd love you to join. April's bestie, Amy Nack, is Valley Art's visiting artist and has a free class too!
