I have not been good at posting on FB because I honestly don't enjoy FB at all.... I keep in touch with some family and check my towns scanner page and marketplace but that's about it .. this summer has been pretty blah so I am just trying to stay afloat in life right now.

I was working on ceramics a lot in the last month because I have my very own precious kiln that I love ever so much. I also have a super cool ceramicist friend who I can bug and ask questions whenever I need ( 😘 Cheeky Ceramics ) so I spent a few weeks throwing stuff on the wheel and slab building vessels that I rolled doilies on so they have their texture and I stamped words and phrases on some.

Here are some of my recent ceramic pieces that I am currently in the process of glazing! I forget how slow at glazing I am. Ceramics is definitely a MULTI step process that takes lots of time, patience and practice. So much trial and error. So much time to put into it and I'm glad I have been keeping my hands busy making real "art". Screw this generative A I junk! Buy and enjoy art from real artists please!

Hey local artisans and friends! I am teaching a class this coming Wednesday Aug 12th at Root & Runner Creative Space in Neenah from 1-3--- read the description below. Also check out the post Emily made about all the fun classes R&R are having this week.

***On Wednesday, August 12th, we welcome the INCOMPARABLE Stephanie Leisering to the studio to teach Artistic Plastic: Fusing Single Use Plastic from 1pm-3pm. Stephanie taught this last year and it was so much fun - so much fun that we have been stashing plastic bags like a fiend all year. Students will have a fantastic assortment to choose from in order to make wonderful durable raw material that can be used to make bags, wallets, book covers, and more. My mom and I took a class at Root & Runner Creative Space in Neenah this past week and made our own scarf/ shawl pins. I honestly don't own either one of those but I thought it could become something artsy and useful. My mom did the heart and I did the other 2- which I plan to turn into frames. Last night I spent like 15 mins staring at them and trying to figure what small kind of art I could put in them... Hmmmmmmm....

It was a fun class and David and JoEllen were fun to talk with. We did a lot of sanding and honestly it was calming and kind of mindless in a way. And my only goal was getting those suckers smooooooothhhhh.

Definitely check out Root & Runner in Neenah and take a class there, buy some art supplies or go buy some local art from them!! I might have a few things for sale there along with a few of my cool art friends and their works.

I will be teaching the first part of this cyanotype table runner class next month!!!!! This is a 2 pattern class.

This class will be held at Quilting Legacies located at 1325 S. Main Street in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The first part where I will teCh about cyanotypes on fabric will take place on July 23rd from 1-3 pm and then July 24th from 10am-2pm for the sewing quilting portion!

OMG I have been slacking on this page and I haven't even posted about Fox Valley Pride yet!

This coming Saturday June 13th from noon-8 pm in Jones Park Appleton, WI will be the pride event! I am one of the art vendors there and I will be next to the very talented ceramic artist Cheeky Ceramics and Days of Future Crafts!

I HAVE been sewing lots of new quilted goodies for this event like zipper pouches, boxy pouches, glasses cases, printed tote bags PLUS I've put together some new big and small collage kits.

I have like 4 more days to make some fun new stuff but also a few full solid days of other things to do with work and life ahead too... So we'll see what ELSE I can make!! I had my heart set on making some pins, but only time will tell....

Anyway, come to the Appleton pride event next Saturday June 13th from 12-8 in Jones Park in Appleton WI and have a fun ass day! I'm sure I will!!!
