“Your Heartbeat program helped me develop lot of interest in music and I have been improving my singing and writing poems. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was the song winner for the last two years.” This year, “I came up with tune for my own song and performed to my family and friends.” Way to go, Aarush! We are so proud of you!

Looking forward to our third annual Project Heart Beat concert this Friday, May 19 at 6pm at the Harris Center with NINE BRAND NEW SONGS, and poems written by our community youth, then turned into song by our professional songwriters. Tickets still available! See link in bio or visit Harriscenter.net!

Project Heart Beat is made possible by RUBY'S BOOKS, an inviting, community-
focused independent bookstore.

We love how Ruby's Books supports students in our community. Ruby's Books is helping us honor student poets at the Project Heart Beat concert this Saturday in front of their peers, family, and the community.

We're deeply grateful to partner with a business that brings so much to our community!

Each student has a story, and it matters. We want them to be able to give us a peek into that story through their poetic musings.

Each student also has a voice—something to say to all of us. We need to let them speak, especially in turbulent times, and they need to know we hear them.

Project Heart Beat creates a platform for those voices to be heard.

Project Heart Beat melds students, parents, families, teachers, and artists in such a dynamic and life-giving way. We can’t think of a better way to breathe hope into our world at such a time as this, than listening to the voices of our students.

Youth poetry in song: for the sake of the students and all of us.
