💥 We want to remind everyone of a few important rules here at 2J. 💥
First and foremost, please remember that our horses are our partners, not machines. Recently, we have witnessed unnecessary behavior such as hitting horses in the face, excessive jerking on reins, and kicking while pulling back. We understand emotions can run high, but we ask all riders — and parents helping young riders learn — to practice patience, sportsmanship, and proper horsemanship. While we cannot control what happens at home, we will advocate for the horses at our events. Continued inappropriate behavior will result in being asked not to return to future shows.
Secondly, please be respectful and aware of the volunteers working the gate and taking exhibition money. They are donating their time to help make these events possible. Be mindful of where you are riding and avoid circling or working horses near the gate area. If your horse needs to be worked in circles, please move to the end of the arena near the warm-up area.
We will also no longer allow Venmo payments after your exhibition run. If paying digitally, payment must be sent beforehand and proof shown at the gate. Unfortunately, we have had too many unpaid entries.
Lastly, tank tops are welcome, but we ask that they be appropriate arena attire. Sports tops, racerback styles, or layered tops with straps at least two inches wide are preferred. We know it’s hot — we just ask everyone to remain respectful and presentable.
We truly appreciate everyone who continues to support our shows. This post is not directed at any one individual, but simply addresses concerns we have both witnessed firsthand and had brought to our attention. Thank you all for your cooperation and support. We hope to see you next month at our $1,000 added show! 🤠
