Mountain Valor Fest is almost here, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
Join us September 12 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. as a volunteer. Help at the gates, in parking, with ceremony setup, assisting guests, trash pickup, running kid challenges, and more. It's a great way to be part of something meaningful, meet incredible people, and give back to veterans and their families.
No experience needed, just a good attitude and a willingness to jump in.

Maybe it is about disability compensation, VA health care, education benefits, or survivor and dependent support. Whatever it is, drop it in the comments.

Experts from the VA and the Virginia Department of Veterans Services will both be on site at Mountain Valor Fest, ready to help you find real answers face to face.

Mountain Valor needs more volunteers, both for the biggest event of our year and for the team that serves veterans and their families across rural Virginia every day.

Right now, our most urgent need is Mountain Valor Fest. We need volunteers from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on September 12 to help with gates, parking, ceremony setup, assisting guests, the merch table, trash pickup, running kid challenges, and more.

Whether you have an hour or the whole day, there is a role for you. No experience necessary, just a willingness to show up for veterans and their families.

By popular demand, we are opening presale on the 2026 Mountain Valor Fest challenge coin so we can make sure we have enough to meet demand. The coin is $20.

You must attend Mountain Valor Fest to get your coin. These will not be shipped, and pickup is only available in person on September 12 at Crooked Mountain in Floyd.

Mountain Valor Fest is our answer to a simple question. What if veterans and their families had one day a year built entirely around them?

What: A free community festival honoring veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors, with music, food, resource tables, a kids zone, and a ceremony to remember our fallen from 9/11 and the wars that followed.

When: September 12. Gates open at noon. The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Crooked Mountain Farm in Floyd, Virginia.

Mountain Valor Fest is free and open to all veterans, families, and the community that supports them.

Skipwillow Farm has supported Mountain Valor with year round volunteer help since before we even had a name, back when we were still throwing ideas around about what we were trying to build. That support has never stopped. They have helped us build out our HR processes, including how we track clients so no one slips through the cracks, and they helped us understand our compliance requirements early on. They have stood with us through every stage of our growth, and they have volunteered to spend a looooong day with us for every Mountain Valor Fest.

Mountain Valor Fest 2026 is introducing the Ceremony Supporter Pass. For $25, your pass includes a reserved seat in a covered area for the ceremony and our first ever MVF collectible challenge coin.
Mountain Valor Fest costs nearly $20,000 to put on for the community each year. Passes like this help us cover that cost while keeping the event free and open to the public.
If you do not need reserved seating, the same collectible coin will also be available at the merch tent for $20. We have a limited number of 2026 coins, and we will not be restocking once they are gone.

Mission Roll Call is returning to Mountain Valor Fest for another year. Mission Roll Call is a national, nonpartisan nonprofit that gives veterans and their families a direct voice in the policies and decisions that affect them, gathering feedback through surveys and outreach and delivering it to lawmakers and community leaders. Their continued support helps us stand with veterans and their families across rural Southwest Virginia. Thank you, Mission Roll Call.
