HoppArt Art Classes & Camps Rebecca j. Hopp was born and raised in South Central Minnesota.

She studied graphic design and advertising for two years at South Dakota State University before transferring to the University of Memphis to receive a bachelors degree in Advertising Photography. Rebecca was previously employed as a marketing graphic designer for a large Memphis law firm. In 2013, Rebecca graduated from Texas Tech University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography. 🎨 I don’t believe creativity is about getting every child to make the same thing.

What I love most is helping each young artist discover their own way of seeing, thinking, and creating. One child may focus on bold colors, another on tiny details, and another may completely reinvent the project, and that’s exactly what makes art so special. 💛✨

To me, those creative choices build something much bigger than artwork. They help children trust their ideas and express themselves with confidence.

The project might start the same, but every child brings their own imagination, personality, and perspective to it. That's what makes every class so special. ✨

Watching young artists create in their own unique way reminds me that creativity isn't about making identical masterpieces, it's about celebrating what makes each child different. 🌈

I love watching young artists share ideas, encourage each other, and celebrate what everyone creates. Every child brings something different to the table, and that makes the experience even more special. 🌈✨

Sometimes, the friendships and connections formed along the way become just as meaningful as the artwork itself.

One of my favorite things is giving young artists the space to take those ideas and turn them into something completely their own. A little curiosity, a few art supplies, and the freedom to explore can lead to the most unexpected creations. ✨🌈

I love watching that moment when an idea becomes real—and seeing the pride on a child’s face when they realize, “I made that!”

Every creative journey starts somewhere. Sometimes, all it takes is the opportunity to begin. 🌿

Children do not always need to know exactly how their artwork will turn out. Sometimes the most important step is simply feeling confident enough to begin, explore an idea, and see where their imagination takes them. ✨

Homeschool families — did you know HoppArt is a TEFA/Odyssey approved vendor? That means your art classes can be part of your funded curriculum.

Our in-person homeschool art classes run small and mixed-age, right here in Floresville. Everything’s included — chalk pastels, sketchbooks, all the messy good stuff — so you just show up and create.

We’re a 30 minute drive from south San Antonio and about 10 minutes from La Vernia and Adkins off FM775. Anyone else navigating TEFA funds for enrichment classes this year? What’s been the trickiest part for you?

I love watching children become more curious, more confident, and more willing to try something unfamiliar. Every creative experience gives them another chance to trust their ideas, solve problems, and discover what they’re capable of. ✨

Those moments of growth are what art is truly about.
