EAT LESS. PRAY MORE.

The burden of truth comes knocking at the door.

Sometimes the truth we have to face is not what is happening around us—it is what is happening within us.

Millions of thoughts can pass through our minds in a single day. Fear will speak. Doubt will speak. Insecurity will speak. Our past will speak. But the question is:

Who are you going to believe?

Will you believe every fearful thought that enters your mind, or will you believe the God who created you, knows your beginning, sees your end, and holds your future in His hands?

Scripture says:

«“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5»

Faith does not mean we never have questions. Faith means our questions do not become greater than our confidence in God.

Sometimes we give love out of faith, even when we cannot guarantee the outcome. We forgive out of faith. We remain obedient out of faith. We keep walking when we cannot see the entire road.

Because our assignment is not to control the outcome.

Our assignment is to trust the One who controls it.

So today, I am learning to take every thought captive, surrender every fear, and refuse to let anxiety become my prophet.

I don't have to know everything.

I don't have to understand everything.

I don't have to see the whole picture.

I simply have to trust God.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Eat less. Pray more.

Less fear.
More faith.

Less control.
More surrender.

Less striving.
More trusting.

And when the burden of truth comes knocking, open the door—not to fear, but to God.

Lord, teach me to trust You with the parts of my future I cannot see. Guard my mind from believing every thought that contradicts Your Word. Give me discernment to know Your voice, courage to obey it, and faith to keep walking even when I don't understand. In Jesus' name, Amen.

BE DECIDED IN YOUR HEART

When you know that your life is being brought into alignment with the Word of God, keep walking.

Not because you believe you are perfect—but because you know who is perfecting you.

“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” — Philippians 2:12

There is a holy humility in knowing that God has called you, while also understanding that you are still being transformed.

So examine your heart.
Guard your character.
Obey His Word.
Repent quickly.
Love sincerely.
Forgive freely.
Walk humbly.

And when your behavior begins to line up with what Scripture commands, don't turn back because of opposition, rejection, or uncertainty.

“If God be for us, who can be against us?” — Romans 8:31

Stand firm—not in your own righteousness, but in the grace of God.

Be decided in your heart.

Decide that God comes first.
Decide that obedience matters more than comfort.
Decide that holiness matters more than approval.
Decide that His will is greater than your own desires.

Jesus said, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33

That doesn't mean God becomes a vending machine for everything we want. It means that when our hearts are surrendered to Him, our desires are being reordered by His will.

Delight yourself in the Lord.
Trust Him with your future.
Give Him your relationships.
Give Him your dreams.
Give Him your finances.
Give Him your reputation.
Give Him your unanswered questions.

“Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” — Psalm 37:4

The greatest blessing isn't getting everything you asked God for.

The greatest blessing is becoming the person who can faithfully carry everything God chooses to place in your hands.

So keep moving toward the call.

Keep working.
Keep praying.
Keep obeying.
Keep becoming.

You don't have to force the promise.

Position yourself through faithfulness and let God handle the outcome.

Be humble enough to know you still have work to do.

Be confident enough to know God isn't finished with you.

Be disciplined enough to keep going when nobody applauds.

And be surrendered enough to say:

“Lord, not my will, but Thine, be done.”

I will eat less.
I will pray more.
I will seek the Kingdom first.
I will work out my salvation with reverence.
I will walk by faith and not by sight.

I have decided in my heart: God comes first.

And whatever He chooses to do with my life after that—

I trust Him.

EAT LESS. PRAY MORE.

I had to remember something: I’m no longer married. I don’t need permission to live my life, and I don’t have to commit myself to people before the time is right.

Everybody is living their life, and I have to live mine.

I’ve spent weeks thinking, praying, waiting, and trying to understand what God is doing. But I feel like He’s been reminding me, “Stop waiting and go do what I told you to do.”

That doesn’t mean I stop caring. It means I trust God with the people and relationships He has placed in my life. I don’t have to force anything or figure everything out today. What is meant to align will align in His timing.

Today is contract day. And once I sign, my life is going to look different.

I’ve been waiting for this moment. I’ve wrestled with it, prayed over it, and thought about it deeply. And at a time like this, I realize I have to be willing to stand on my own and trust what God put inside of me.

The Bible says, “A man’s gift makes room for him.” — Proverbs 18:16

God has given me something that can create, provide, build, and generate resources for His Kingdom.

So now I have to be a wise king with what He has entrusted to me.

I’m not running from love.
I’m not closing my heart.
I’m simply moving forward with peace.

If God has ordained something for me, I trust Him to bring it together in the right season.

So today, I’m going forward with boldness—not because I know exactly what tomorrow holds, but because I know Who holds tomorrow.

Eat less. Pray more. Build what God gave you. And keep moving.

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” — Nehemiah 8:10

Thank You, Lord, for keeping me in the land of the living. Thank You for the breath in my lungs. Thank You for waking me up this morning and giving me another opportunity to seek You.

Lord, my heart may be disappointed this morning, but I will still praise You.

I may not understand everything You are doing. I may not have every answer. I may feel hurt, confused, or even tired—but my circumstances will not determine my worship.

Father, give me the strength to continue seeking You when I don't feel strong. Give me the faith to worship You when my heart is heavy. Teach me to find joy in Your presence instead of searching for joy in things that can change.

Today, I choose gratitude over complaining.
I choose prayer over worry.
I choose worship over despair.
I choose faith over fear.

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

Lord, when my heart is disappointed, remind me that You are still good. When I feel lost, remind me that You are still leading me. When I feel empty, remind me that Your presence is enough.

I woke up today—and that means You still have purpose for my life.

So I will Eat Less. Pray More.
I will seek You.
I will worship You.
I will trust You.

Thank You, Lord, for another day.
Thank You for another breath.
Thank You for another chance.
And thank You that my joy does not have to depend on what happens around me—because my joy is found in You.

Amen. 🙏🏾

EAT LESS. PRAY MORE.

Chapter Two

Sometimes betrayal hurts different when it comes from a guy you thought was your brother.

You see things. You feel the change. You may even know the truth, but he still looks you in the face and acts like nothing happened.

And all you really want is for him to just admit it.

But I’m learning I don’t have to force a confession.

I’m going to pray, stay calm, and let God reveal what needs to be revealed.

No revenge. No bitterness. No retaliation.

Just truth, peace, and God’s timing.

Sometimes God doesn’t expose people so you can hurt them.

He exposes the truth so you can let go.

I finally figured this thing out: you really have to love people.

Not just when they treat you right. Not just when they understand you. Not just when they love you back the way you want them to.

You have to let God take control of your heart.

Because when you surrender your heart to God, something changes. You stop needing people to behave a certain way before you can have peace. You stop carrying anger, resentment, and the desire to get even. You realize that the joy of simply loving people is a peace that the world can't give you.

This season is teaching me to love regardless of how people treat me.

That doesn't mean having no boundaries. It doesn't mean allowing people to continually hurt you. It means I refuse to let somebody else's actions determine the condition of my heart.

Jesus said, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” — Luke 6:27–28

That's a different kind of strength.

So I'm choosing love.
I'm choosing forgiveness.
I'm choosing patience.
I'm choosing peace.
I'm choosing to let God deal with what I cannot control.

I don't have to win every battle. I just have to keep my heart right before God.

EAT LESS. PRAY MORE.

I checked my account today, and I was grateful.

This has been an extremely difficult season for me. I came across the world not knowing the whole plan. There were moments when I thought I had made an error in my plans, but today I can see that God was working through the process.

Today, I’m beginning to reap the benefits of purpose.

And now my prayer is different:

“Lord, thank You for the wife I’ve found. Thank You for allowing our paths to cross. Thank You for the woman You placed in my life. Now that You’ve blessed me with the resources, position my heart to receive this relationship properly.”

Give me the wisdom to love her well, the patience to build with her, the humility to listen, and the discipline to protect what You’ve entrusted to me.

I don't just want the resources to build a life.

I want the heart to steward the woman and the life You’ve given me.

Thank You, Lord, for what You’ve already done.

Now prepare me to walk in it.

EAT LESS, PRAY MORE

There were once two brothers who loved each other.

One day, one brother discovered something that broke his heart. He didn't reveal how he knew or what he had in his hands. He simply asked a question and listened to the answer.

For weeks, he carried the weight quietly.

Not because he wanted revenge.

There was no revenge in his heart.

He simply realized that sometimes betrayal changes a relationship in ways that can't be undone.

So he prayed.

He remembered, “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” — Romans 12:18

He didn't want to expose his brother.
He didn't want to embarrass him.
He didn't want anything bad to happen to him.

He just wanted peace.

And when the time came for him to leave, he knew he might never speak to his brother again.

Not out of hatred.

Not out of revenge.

But because sometimes forgiveness means releasing someone to God and accepting that the relationship may never return to what it was.

He could love his brother from a distance.

He could pray for him without being close to him.

He could forgive him without giving him the same access to his life.

And he could walk away with his heart clean.

Because the victory wasn't exposing the betrayal.

The victory was leaving without becoming bitter.

EAT LESS. PRAY MORE. 🐝

I’ve been thinking about bees lately. The way God designed the hive is amazing. You have the queen, the workers, the drones—every bee has a purpose, and together they build something bigger than themselves.

And here’s what really got me: you can take honey from the hive, and they don’t quit. They rebuild. They keep working. They keep producing.

That taught me something about life:

Patience is better than being smart.

You can have intelligence, talent, connections, and resources—but if you don’t have the patience to keep building, none of it matters.

Nehemiah didn’t rebuild the wall of Jerusalem in one day. He faced opposition, distractions, criticism, and threats. But he kept building.

“So we built the wall… for the people had a mind to work.” — Nehemiah 4:6

Sometimes God will allow something to be taken from you just to show you that you have the ability to build again.

The enemy can knock down the wall.
People can take the honey.
Life can drain the hive.

BUILD ANYWAY.

Don’t get discouraged because you have to start over. The bee doesn’t sit around mourning yesterday’s honey. It gets back to work.

Pray.
Be patient.
Stay disciplined.
Keep building.

Because sometimes the blessing isn’t just in what God gives you…

It’s in who you become while you’re building it.
