What a fabulous weekend at the Midwest Metalsmiths Art Show. I may some new [to me] artists, some familiar faces, repeat customers, tons of great conversations, a lot of inspiration and of course a few sales.

Here is the last of the recent three.
This one has SOLD!! It barely made it an hour on the original post before a friend of mine snagged it!
Yay!!!
Just dropped it off today.

All the other pieces will be at the Midwest Metalsmiths Art Show, this weekend 10/16 & 10/17.

"Sometimes our failures aren't failures at all. They are stepping stones to something new."

Ok, here we have necklace two of the most recent three.

This one has a bit of a story. Nothing super intense.
But see the "cup rose"? 👀 I make those. But I've been out of practice and I struggled a bit AND I was trying to make two identical roses for earrings. Well, I had all the pieces done and ready for assembly. I'm soldering them together when BAM one cup (with all three layers) got too hot.🔥
I melted the damn thing! 😩 So, the melted rose turned into the large accent ball on the necklace I posted prior to this necklace. And this rose got an upgrade of the curled edges, something I hadn't done to my cup roses yet. Well, I love how it turned out. I then decided since it was so large it needed a companion stone that could hold its own presence but work well together. And this was born! 😍

Here's one of the most recent three.
Black Star Diopside & Sunstone, set in sterling silver and brass. With a sterling and brass accent hanging from the bottom.
I really had fun with this one and it came out better than I imagined.

Be still my beating heart...UNAKITE, I absolutely LOVE Unakite. Unakite is a stone of emotional balance, spiritual vision, and the harmonious union of heart and mind.

I'm enjoying thr landscape view of an oval stone. Gives the brain something new to think about.
