Rosenvolk Education Initiative

Southern Indiana Renaissance Festivall is the fund raiser for Rosenvolk Education Initiative (REI) and is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization governed by our By-Laws & Board of Directors. Our mission statement is “To teach in a fun and interactive way!” Our vision is to expand our Festival each year in order to eventually create a permanent site where children, students & adults can immerse themselves in a living village atmosphere and experience (the fun parts!) of medieval life. We want to practice responsible green living, animal husbandry, bee-keeping (apiculture) & offer our visitors an alternative to today’s fast paced, sometimes over whelming, day-to-day grind. A place to pick up skills from our distant past, walk the paths of our ancestors, wear medieval clothes while learning such things as: black smithing swords, or armor making, jousting, wool spinning, creating a viking long boat--carving it, then launching it on the water. The possibilities are limited only by our imaginations. Each year we have on sight Educators to teach each of these interests to the public, and we continually add Educators to keep the interest growing as we grow.

What better place to have a fairy tale wedding than at a Renaissance Festival!

We would love to make that dream come true for you. (Variable pricing, schedule coming soon)! Contact us today to reserve a time for your special day! We have the Minister, you do the rest!

When we acquire our permanent site we plan to create a “Preservation Medieval Library and Museum” to document and store all this wonderful knowledge for future generations. Be involved! You won’t regret it!
