Melody Pond Melody Pond sings the song that dances on the water, echoes on the wind, and enchants your ear drums Candy and Emily met through an ex (we won't say whose).

The important part is that they met. Candy Lee had just moved to town. Emily gave Candy a ride to a gig one day, as her car was busted. She heard Emily singing harmonies along to the radio (something they both do out of habit) and thought, "Hey, this girl can sing!" Candy had been looking to put together a band where the main focus was female vocal harmonies. A beautiful musical relationship was b

orn, and that relationship evolved into them eventually becoming best friends. "Candy Lee and the Sweets" was the first incarnation of the band, then members changed and it became "The Sisters Sweet." Life happened at it was down to two- just Candy and Emily. They performed under the name "The Sisters Sweet" for a bit, but it got confusing for their fans, so they finally decided to change their name, yet again, calling themselves "Melody Pond" after one of their favorite female characters from a famous Sci-Fi TV show. During all of this, Emily wrote poetry and songs in secret. One fateful night, the two were sharing stories, and Emily shared her poetry. A little encouragement was all it took for Emily to hit the ground running as a powerful songwriter herself. Though their songwriting has their differences, they also share enough similarities for the two to perform together organically. For the pair, "harmonies are their favorite part about music." This harmonious relationship leaves the audiences they perform for asking "Who are they?" "Are they sisters?" Nope. Just really great friends. Just two gals who met each other out of luck, or fate, or something, have similar vocal timbres, and have been harmonizing together for so long, and have been friends for so long, that it seems like it.
