Our mission is to provide an advanced youth ensemble experience that is challenging and fun, stimulates musical development, and compliments the school program. We welcome Miss Madeline Damschroder to DMYS this season as our Sinfonia conductor! Miss Damschroder is a familiar face as she guest-conducted Sinfonia last fall and has mentored DMYS bass students for close to 2 years. She hails from Toledo, and has experience teaching 4th-grade through 12th-grade orchestra, private string instruments, and collegiate courses. We are so glad to add her to the team!

DMYS Symphony Orchestra, under Conductor Jeremy Duby, is once again a national finalist in the Orchestral Performance division of The American Prize national non-profit competitions in the performing arts. The American Prize recognizes and rewards the best performances by orchestras in America, and this is for Symphony Orchestra's May 2025 performance of the Dvorak "New World Symphony."

The award is a testament to the effort and musical instruction throughout the entire organization. Congrats DMYS!

What an incredible experience for our students today! 🎶

We were honored to participate in a clinic with Helen Cha-Pyo, Artistic Director of the Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts and Principal Conductor of the New Jersey Youth Symphony. Her expertise, passion, and thoughtful guidance provided our musicians with invaluable musical insight and inspiration.

From refining musical details to exploring deeper artistic expression, our students gained knowledge that will undoubtedly enhance their performance as they prepare for a truly special milestone—making their debut at Carnegie Hall tomorrow!
