Adamโs Archive is on tonight at 7:00 โ 9:00 PM US Central Daylight Time (00:00 โ 02:00 GMT) on KNNZ Ken's FM 89.1 in the region and streaming worldwide via free radio tuner apps like Radio Garden, the chat room at kensfm.com, and free on Shoutcast at http://108.59.11.81:8315/
If you can't catch the show tonight, it will be rebroadcast on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM Central (5:00 to 7:00 PM GMT, more convenient for some of our friends overseas).
Tonight is an encore broadcast from last summer including tracks inspired by Nox Novacula's performance at The Aquarium and a showing at Gallery4. The original post:
There is a big focus on new tracks, including Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Rosetta Stone with tracks from their new albums coming out later this week. There are more tracks from recent albums from Nox Novacula, The March Violets, G.W. Childs IV, Society of the Silver Cross, Chrystabell & David Lynch (featuring a contribution from the late, great Angelo Badalamenti!), plus a great new track from Kate Pierson's forthcoming album and new covers from Snail Mail (covering The Smashing Pumpkins) and HEALTH (covering Deftones).
We'll have a focus on local music too, with a flashback to me on the Uptown Tonight Podcast two years ago this week featuring some clips of podcast host (and my onetime bandmate) Wade Stalboerger and I talking about local bands. We'll hear Venus In Furs (Wade unfortunately never recorded with us, but you'll hear his favorite song of ours to play live), along with Phil Fallway, Gradience, Understudy, and Kara Brusven & Anna Alynn.
Artwork at Gallery4's current exhibition (running through August 30th) inspired a number of tracks as well, including Rebekah Del Rio, PJ Harvey, Brian Eno, and Jane N' The Jungle. Plus David Lynch & John Neff's BlueBOB, goth favorites Children on Stun, Mark Mallman out of Minneapolis, and more!
