I've received so many messages, texts, and notes thanking me for being Santa. My response is always the same: it's truly my pleasure. And I can't tell you how very true that is.
November and December are busy months—not just for me, but for my entire family. This season represents a significant sacrifice on their part, and even our friends have occasionally stepped up to help with our youngest elves while I'm out and about. To all of them, I'm beyond grateful—especially to my bride and to Ginger Elf, who made a few appearances herself.
Because of their support, I was able to share my love of all things Christmas with over 6,000 people this year. I lost count about a week before Christmas, so I can't give you an exact number—but the memories are countless.
A twelve-year-old too cool to be in line—until I recruited him as a "consultant" to protect the magic for his little sister. An elderly widow in her Sunday best who just wanted to say hello to the red suit one more time because her late husband had worn one for forty years. Quiet home visits with special friends who might never experience Santa otherwise—no crowds, no lines, just Christmas coming to them.
These moments are what the red suit is really for. Not the wish lists or the photos—but the five minutes where someone feels truly seen.
Thank you for letting me be part of your Christmas. I'll see you next year.
