🧵New Blog Post: Artist as Activist🎨

Three of my banned book weavings are headed to Artist as Activist—a juried exhibition at Rowan University Art Gallery, running June 7–Aug 2.

Here, artists fight back—using their art not to decorate, but to disrupt, resist, and demand change.

My works include shredded and rewoven pages from:

📕 This Book Is Gay by Juno Dawson
📘 In the Night Kitchen by Maurice Sendak
📗 Draw Me a Star by Eric Carle

Each one speaks out against censorship and silencing—and this show couldn’t be more timely.

Excited to share my latest interview with PEN America where I delve into the heart of my newest series, The Censor's Cut: Weavings for Intellectual Freedom, currently featured at Magic City Books. This series tackles the critical issue of book censorship through the transformative medium of art, reimagining banned books into thought-provoking weavings. Join me in exploring how art intersects with activism and why it's more important than ever to fight for intellectual freedom. Link in bio.
