A Message From the Owner ❤️
I normally don’t make posts like this, because I truly believe in handling customer concerns privately and professionally. But as a small business owner who puts so much time, love, and effort into every order, I feel like I need to say something.
Recently, a post was made publicly criticizing an order I completed. I absolutely understand that customers are allowed to have concerns, and I will always listen when someone isn’t completely happy with something I create. If there is something that can be corrected or improved, I am more than willing to have that conversation.
What I don’t think is fair, however, is publicly tearing down a small business and showing a close-up of one small area of a finished product without showing the entire item or the rest of the order.
Was there possibly a tiny bit of trimming that could have been cleaner? Absolutely. I’m human. I make handmade/custom products, and sometimes something may need a little extra attention. But that does not mean the entire order was poorly made, rushed, or that I don’t care about my customers.
I have spent countless hours building Shawny’s Shop. I pour my heart into every sweatshirt, tumbler, embroidery project, DTF print, and custom order that leaves my hands. I have customers who have supported me for years, and I am incredibly grateful for every single one of you.
In all honesty, I have gone a very long time without receiving a complaint, and I work extremely hard to make every customer happy. When something doesn’t go exactly as planned, I would much rather have a private conversation and find a solution than have a small business publicly dragged.
I am not posting this to argue, embarrass anyone, or create drama. I am posting it because there is a real person behind this business. There is a lot of time, money, stress, creativity, and love that goes into what I do.
You don’t have to love everything I make. You don’t even have to order from me. But please remember that there is a human being on the other side of the business page.
And to anyone who has ever had an issue with an order from me: please reach out. I will always do my best to make things right
