Today marks three weeks of Greg and I being by Bernice’s side during her hospital stay. Six days ago she was transferred from Shasta Regional to a hospital close to her home. We are so grateful for the wonderful care she received there!

One sweet blessing of the move is being near our kids and grands, and having family and dear friends step in when we ask for a little break. Last night we got to watch Gavin’s first soccer scrimmage and Kaitie coach his team. Today Greg got to take Gavin to his first day of school while I played with the littles, and tonight we get to celebrate Parker turning 3!

This definitely isn’t how we expected the last three weeks to look, but we’re thankful for the sweet blessings tucked into this journey and so grateful we’re able to be here by Bernice’s side.

Thank you so much for continuing to pray for Bernice and for us as we advocate for her. We truly appreciate every prayer. ❤️

I needed this reminder today. Today marks two weeks since my sweet mother-in-law, Bernice, was flown to Redding during what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway with us in Fall River.

It’s been a journey filled with unexpected turns, difficult decisions, and so many unknowns. Through it all, God has remained faithful. He’s been present in every hospital room, every conversation, every member of this hospital staff, every prayer, and every small victory.

We don’t know exactly what the days ahead will hold, but we know Who holds them.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Bernice and our family. Greg and I are staying in Redding so we can advocate for her every step of the way. So thankful for to our dear friends checking in, washing my laundry, and dropping off meals so we don’t have to leave the hospital. We truly feel your prayers every single day. 🤍

Soaking up every minute of this sweet visit with my mother-in-law. The back porch, blooming zinnias, and busy pollinators have been the perfect backdrop for some wonderful conversations. 🌸🐝
