Here's a cool upgrade I came up with for this F-14. I sanded the back board using 150-800 grit sanding disks. Then applied a chrome film. What do you think?

I found an error in the manual while working on No Good Gofers.

The upper right flipper was stuttering twice and then would fall while holding the flipper button. All components of the flipper circuit tested good (coil, transistors q86 & q84, correct wiring to the coil, continuity to the connector, diodes, no cracked solder, clean flipper opto switch). So I pulled the driver board to inspect the traces. According to the manual J120 pin 5 should be a orange/violet wire responsible for the HOLD circuit of the upper right flipper. But pin 5 is tied to pin 6 and goes to the flipper POWER drive transistor. So I measured continuity from pin 7 to the middle leg of q89 and pin 11 to the middle leg of q92 (the other two hold circuits) and heard a tone in my MM. But measuring pin 5 to the middle leg of q86 did nothing. I then checked and verified continuity from pin4 to the middle leg of q86. Thats when I knew it, the manual was wrong!! I swapped the ORG/VIO wire in the J120 connector from pin 5 to pin 4 and this solved the problem. Now the flipper works perfectly well.
