One of my most favorite things about having a solo show is having my family come together and show their support. I returned to being a full time creative when my oldest was a becoming a teen and it is what helped me find balance in my every day life. But living as an artist also helped me to rediscover myself after the years of pregnancy, potty training and prepubescent children. I am so proud of my now, adult kids and happy to know that they understand what it entails to live an artist life and how it has positively affected how I parent. Of course, the other parent involved, my husband Gregg, is also very much a part of the equation. Not only is he an incredibly supportive partner, but he is also the artisan behind making my wooden cradle boards and frames. You could say that he is literally the backbone and support that is very much needed in order for me to continue as an artist. More reception pics to come but a giant thank you to all of you who came out in the heat to Lake Anne Plaza’s Reston Art Gallery. I loved seeing you all! Thank you to my art collectors for finding forever homes for my work! And thank you to my fellow artists and gallery mates who helped at the reception! Cheers to art receptions where we can celebrate creativity and joyful moments! .
