We spent a few days @disneyaulani after we found out Sammy had cancer relapse to his brain. Rather than packing up our lives in a suitcase for that medivac flight that was in few days. We spent the time we family. Cause f**k cancer.

My First Nikon to my most recent Nikon. Story to follow. It's a feel good read.

I've enjoyed photography since I was a kid. From the days of taking pictures of my friend on a skateboard with a disposable, to failing miserably trying to take pictures of lightning with a Olympus Point and Shoot film camera. I graduated to the digital world with a Kodak Point and Shoot zoom series and upgraded that with a newer series Kodak. Then as destiny would have it I picked up my first Nikon In 2009. A D40, I rocked that for a few years till I went to the D7000 in 2012. This camera would be my work horse for 9 years till I got my D500 in 2021. Now in 2022 l, I pick up my latest Nikon, an FG. A 35mm film camera that was my grandfathers. I wanted to get back into appreciating photography again, and with some motivation from @mr.autophoto I started looking at disposable cameras first. $40 bucks ! I said no way. So I looked at old Nikon Film bodies, as their God tier lens lineup 😎, was compatible with what I already have. It then hit me my grandfather had an old camera, as I remember holding it when I was a child, looking through the viewfinder at birds. I reached out toy Aunt and they ended up getting the camera after my Grandfather passed. Low and behold it was a Nikon. So now I carry this legacy on, as I pass my d40 and 7000 to my son. My grandfather has passed his Nikon on to me.
