My parents divorced over 20 years ago, and I thought we were finally at peace. Then one game-day text shattered everything. I was heading 🐮 to my uncle’s packed tailgate 🚚 with my mom, where half my family had already invited 😝 us. I texted my dad to say hi, excited to see him and my ☀️ little sister after a month apart. Instead, he called and said my stepmom didn’t 💥 want my mom anywhere near the tent. In one sentence, I was forced to choose sides in front of everyone I love. I (32F) pick 🌕 up my brother (29M) and his buddies (26M & 31M) after game night. J starts complaining about having to babysit so his wife can go to a movie. It goes on and on. My husband (29M) and I (27F) rent out rooms in our house to his 🌹 friends. Roommate #2 started dating Karen (24F), and things got serious quickly. At first, I didn't mind her staying over a few nights. But now, she acts 🌜 like she lives here! She lets herself in, doesn't knock, and even texts ME to unlock the door for her, even when her BF isn't home. The worst part? She hogs the bathroom, using all ☄️ the 🙆 hot water and leaving her stuff everywhere. I asked her to park on the street so she wouldn't block us, but she still parks in 🌃 the driveway! I'm seriously considering telling my roommate that if she's here more than one night a week, she needs to pay rent! I (27F) bought my first house with my husband 🌿 (28M) after saving for years. 🎆 We told almost no one, wanting to wait until everything was perfect. My grandparents, 🚆 who raised me, knew 🌺 because we were living with them temporarily. My mom found out from my grandma and EXPLODED. I respect Hal’s devotion to his job, but in the past year, he has been racking up an 🦑 unbelievable number of ✨ complaints from customers. I know because complaints circulate pretty quickly where I work, and many people have called to complain to me about him. He 🤣 often won’t be able to answer basic questions or provide information to 😀 customers; 😊 he’ll forget people’s info and make them repeat it over and over; and just seems slow and out of it in general. Customers have been questioning “what’s wrong with that man” and some have used quite choice words to describe him.

I (18F) met Grace (18F) in 3rd grade. My mom never gave me lunch money or packed lunches. Grace shared her snacks with me, eventually telling her mom, Lilly (39F). Lilly started providing me with everything, ☀️ even buying my clothes. When I was kicked out at 16, I moved in with Grace & Lilly. We graduated recently. My mom, 🔥 who I hadn’t seen since being kicked out, showed up, 🐧 bragging about how proud she was & how she got me where I am today. My blood ran cold as she claimed credit for 🐹 my success. After many attempts to shoo 🏔 her away, I left with Grace's family.

Furious, I texted my mom, saying she was never a mother to me, and that Lilly was the mother I wanted 🔥 and needed. Trembling with rage, I hit sent. We had our biggest fight possibly ever 😄 a few days ago. Lockdown restrictions are eased a bit here and I went for a safe-distance hangout with my 😺 mates in the park. I got home 🌜 a bit before 7:10 because the bus was late, and my stepdad went nuts. He shouted at me for, like, twenty minutes about what a disrespectful little b__tard I am and how I can't follow simple 🌙 rules so I must be 💦 completely stupid and stuff.

I’m a 65M electrician from Germany, ready to retire and travel with my wife. I built a business with 23 employees. My son (36M), Alexander, will take over. My daughters are Laura (34F, biochemist) and Marie (30F, teacher). At a recent family gathering, I announced my plans. Laura was fine, but Marie accused me of favoritism. About a week ago, I received a message from a woman claiming to be a member of 7's extended family (dad's side), asking if she could meet him. I pretty much told 😀 her that as he's been adopted, they'll have to wait until he's ready to meet them, but said that I would take her contact details for 🚚 if/when he asks. She wasn't happy with this, and I've since received dozens of messages a day from 7's relatives about how awful I 🌞 am for keeping him away 🦑 from them.

I (40sF) am ⭐ planning a family cruise with my husband and our four daughters (12F, 12F, 17F, 20F). We're flying into Miami a day early and need 🐳 a hotel. I booked a room for my husband and me for $400. My daughters want separate rooms. I was okay with booking three rooms for them, costing $1200 total. My husband is furious about the cost. He wants to cram 🕍 all four girls into a single room with two queen beds for $500, saving us $300. The twins are completely against sharing beds. The older girls are indifferent. We already booked separate rooms for the girls on the cruise itself, with the twins sharing and the older girls sharing. I think 💐 forcing them to share a bed for the hotel is unfair and uncomfortable, but he insists it's just one night. He then declared that since HE'S paying for the cruise, HE gets to make the decisions and I can pay the extra $300 if I want them to have separate beds!
