I have this photo of me as a kid blowing out candles with my Nan, and wanted to see my inner child and my adult self in the same photo for my birthday.

Another mixed media collage, this one featuring my girl Snails! 🐾

took this photo of us when we had a yard sale last Summer. Snails was a neighborhood stray who lived in Nat's backyard.

When it was too hot for Snails to stay outside this summer, I told Nat that we would test drive adopting her (because I'm so allergic to animals with fur) and Snails fit right in with us.

The rest is history! Now Snailey girl is an inside cat, who is veryyyy spoiled. 🫶🏻

This lil hobby has been so good for my creativity. Before I started this, I wasn't doing anything for my creative practice.

Sometimes I knit, sometimes I paint, sometimes I embroider... but none of that is a regular practice.

Sitting down to draw every day has felt so good for my soul. I told Dylan last night that I could do this all day every day, it feels so natural for me.

Anyway, I'm glad to come home to art in this way. It feels good, so thank you for being here for the journey! 🦋
