Every artist has a story. Mission Statement

At JLBEL Productions, our mission is to develop artists with integrity, create exceptional music, and build lasting careers through honest partnerships, world-class production, and innovative marketing. Company Story

JLBEL Productions was founded on a simple belief:

Music changes lives. After nearly two decades producing records, teaching audio engineering, working in higher education, and performing professionally, founder Jeremy Lewis recognized that many independent artists don't fail because they lack talent—they struggle because they lack guidance, resources, and a trusted team. JLBEL Productions was created to change that. We're building more than a record label. We're building a creative home where artists are encouraged to write fearlessly, record professionally, release strategically, and grow sustainably. Whether we're producing a debut single or helping develop an artist over multiple releases, our goal remains the same:

Create music that matters. Build careers that last. Leave a legacy.

🎶 **PLEASE WELCOME CAMERON SMITH TO JLBEL PRODUCTIONS!** 🎶

We're excited to officially introduce Cameron Smith as the newest artist working with JLBEL Productions!

If you've spent much time around the local music and entertainment scene, there's a chance you've already crossed paths with Cameron.

Whether he's hosting karaoke events, performing acoustic shows around the area, or channeling his inner Elvis Presley (and yes, you may have seen a few of those performances! 🎤🕺), Cameron is no stranger to entertaining an audience.

But there's another side of Cameron that we're excited to help bring into the spotlight.

**He's also an original songwriter.**

At just 25 years old, Cameron has already built a catalog of original material, with songs and stories he's been developing along his musical journey.

Now we're looking forward to helping him take that creativity into the studio.

Something that caught our attention was a line from Cameron's own biography:

*"Following a dream that seems impossible, but making it possible!"*

And really, that's a pretty good reminder of why we love working with independent artists.

Everybody's journey looks a little different. Some start with songwriting. Some start onstage. Some spend years entertaining other people before finding the opportunity to share more of their own stories.

Our goal at JLBEL isn't to change who an artist is. It's to help them take what makes them unique and build something authentic around it.

We're excited to work with Cameron and see where this next chapter of his musical journey takes him!

**Help us give Cameron Smith a warm welcome to JLBEL Productions!** 👏🎶

**Create. Capture. Elevate.**

We've been a little quiet around here lately! 😂

Between all the craziness of Fall Festival and everything happening behind the scenes at JLBEL Productions, social media has definitely taken a back seat for a bit.

But quiet doesn't mean things have stopped moving.

Actually, quite the opposite.

We've been putting a lot of time into something that we're getting pretty excited to finally start sharing. The music is ready, the pieces are coming together, and before long, you might start seeing and hearing a little more of what we've been working on. 👀🎶

And that's just one of several projects we've got moving right now.

In the meantime, you can also catch JLBEL Productions every Thursday at Six Strings Got Talent, where we're helping judge some of the incredible local talent stepping up to the microphone!

Always a good time getting to hear what the Tri-State music scene has to offer.

More music. More artists. More opportunities to create something worth listening to.

Love seeing the momentum continue. 🔥

Congratulations to That’s What She Said on their appearance on ABC 25 Local Lifestyles today, talking about the band, their original music, and “Terre-Dise.”
Proud to have JLBEL Productions behind the production of this record and even prouder to watch it keep finding new ears.
Keep it rolling. 🚂🎶

One of my favorite parts of producing is when you know a section of a song is almost there… but there’s still something missing.

Last night while working on Maria Morris’ first release, I took a break to freshen up my ears and rather than come back to that project, I opened up Lizzie LaRue’s second single project. Then it hit me...I know exactly what that intimate section needs now! It gave me a chance to get a little more creative with a couple of instruments I might not normally reach for in those moments.

Both songs have sections that needed to stay intimate. I didn’t want to make them bigger just for the sake of making them bigger — but they still needed movement. Something underneath the surface that could help carry the emotion forward without getting in the way of the vocal or the song.

After some experimenting, I found a couple of textures that finally gave me that missing piece I’d been missing all along to bring it emotionally to that next level.

Sometimes the answer isn’t another huge guitar, another stack of vocals or another obvious layer. Sometimes it’s inspiration and a missing instrument tucked into exactly the right place that changes how the entire section feels.

Two very different artists. Two very different songs. And two opportunities to push myself creatively and find what each song needed.

Can’t wait for you guys to eventually hear what we’ve been building.

Create. Capture. Elevate.

Different voices. Different songs. Different personalities. Different things they want to say.

And honestly, that’s the fun part of producing.

I don’t want somebody to walk through the door and immediately start figuring out how to make them sound like the last artist I worked with or the last song that I worked on. The challenge is figuring out what makes each artist believable — and then building the song around that.

Sometimes that means pushing the production bigger. Sometimes it means getting out of the way. Sometimes a song needs another layer, and sometimes the best decision you can make is deleting five of them.

There are several projects taking shape at JLBEL Productions right now, and I’m really enjoying how each one is forcing me to approach the music from a different angle.

That’s exactly the kind of company I want this to become.

Not an assembly line.

A place where artists can make music that actually sound like them.

Create. Capture. Elevate.

A song and a finished song are two very different things. 🎶

The lyrics can be written.
The melody can be there.
The structure can be solid.

And that's when one of my favorite parts begins:

Figuring out what the song wants to become.

Right now at JLBEL, I'm getting to have that conversation with several very different songs and artists — and I'm loving where some of them are headed. 🔥

Country. Rock. Gospel. Singer-songwriter.
Different voices. Different stories.

No formula. Just finding the sound that belongs to the song.

More from the studio soon. 🎙️

🔥 IT'S OFFICIAL. 🔥

Please welcome the newest recording artist to JLBEL Productions MARIA MORRIS.

And the best part?

We’re not starting today. We’ve already started. 🎶

Maria and I have already begun pre-production on her first single, and I can tell you this much...there is something special taking shape.

From the beginning, JLBEL Productions was never supposed to be about simply recording songs. The vision has always been bigger: find artists with something real to say, develop the music around who they are, and build every release with purpose.

And Maria fits that vision perfectly.

She brings a voice, maturity, heart and authenticity that deserve to be heard and we're going to make sure the music reflects exactly that

There’s a lot of work ahead! A single to make. A sound to define. A story to tell.

And we're already in it.

Today, though, we get to make this part official.

Welcome to JLBEL Productions, Maria Morris.

This is your introduction.

Now, let's get to work 🔥🎙️

There’s been a LOT happening behind the scenes at JLBEL Productions lately, but I’ve been pretty intentional about not posting every conversation, meeting, or idea along the way.

I’d rather show the work when there’s something real to show.

And with Lizzie LaRue, there is.

We’ve now completed pre-production on three new songs, and her first single with JLBEL Productions is in the can and ready for release.

So what's next? When can you all expect to hear it?

Producing an artist shouldn't end when the final master is done.

Right now, the focus is on everything that surrounds the music — building Lizzie’s audience, developing the visual side of her brand, preparing photography and content, planning the release, and making sure that when we finally hit launch day, we're giving the song the best opportunity we can.

That's the kind of artist development I wanted JLBEL Productions to be built around from day one.

Not just “here's your finished song — good luck.”

Make the music.
Develop the artist.
Build the presentation.
Prepare the release.

Then put it into the world with a plan.

I will say this...you won't have to wait that much longer!!!

There are plenty of other things happening around JLBEL Productions that I'm excited about, but they'll get their moment when the time is right.

Today, I'm just proud to say this:

Lizzie LaRue's first single is finished.

Now we're preparing to introduce it, and most importantly, her properly.

Things are getting BUSY behind the scenes at JLBEL Productions. 🎶🔥

While we continue preparing for the release of Lizzie LaRue’s first single, “Don’t Stay If You Don’t Want Me,” we’re not sitting around waiting for release day.

Lizzie has been putting in the work—building her social media presence, connecting with new people, developing her identity as an artist, and giving everyone a chance to get to know the person behind the music.

And in the studio? We’re already looking ahead.

We’re working on the next round of songs and continuing to build a catalog so that when the first record drops, it’s not the end of something.

It’s the beginning.

At the same time, something else really exciting has started happening…

Artists are reaching out. Songs are being submitted. Conversations are happening.

That means a lot to a brand-new independent production company.

JLBEL Productions was created to find talented artists, help develop what makes them unique, put professional production behind their music, and build something that can grow beyond a single song.

There’s a LOT happening that we aren’t quite ready to show you yet.

We’re building. 🎧

We’re creating. 🎙️

And we’re just getting started.

Keep your eyes on Lizzie LaRue.

And keep your eyes on JLBEL Productions.

More soon. 👀🔥
