Last week several volunteers from the Museum of Eureka Springs Art participated in the Gnome Home install at the rebranded Harmony Park-Eureka Springs in cooperation with the Eureka Springs Arts Council and Arkansas Adventure Art please go check it and all the others out!

“Gnome Dream Home: The Hidden Guardians of the Art Museum”

The Museum of Eureka Springs Art gnomes live in the hidden corners of the “dream” museum. Their mission is to protect the museum’s treasures—paintings, sculptures, sketches, and the stories of Eureka Springs—from damage and neglect. They believe every piece of art holds a spark of imagination worth preserving and sharing with others.

Jim Rice built the structure based on Julie’s sketch, which represents the dream of a future museum. Jim completed the Gnome Dream Home with his own Fused-glass windows and stone on the exterior. This installation was a collaborative effort created to support the new Harmony Park while promoting the Museum of Eureka Springs Art.

A little sneak peek—but not the full reveal!

We’re sharing the original concept sketch by Julie Ann Capps and a photo of Jim Rice Fused Glass after he built our “home” and brought the sketch to life.

We’ll be installing our finished piece in Harmony Park on Wednesday, September 9, at 11:00 a.m.

This has been such a whimsical collaboration for the volunteers at the Museum of Eureka Springs Art! Sponsored by the Eureka Springs Arts Council and Arkansas Adventure Art, this project is a wonderful example of what can happen when we cross-pollinate ideas and bring our creative community together.

Hey everyone please stop by and see us at the Museum of Eureka Springs Art this weekend and check out the art of Jack Miller we have on display for the VW POP-UP ART SHOW & SALE and please tell your friends!

While you're here, don't forget to purchase tickets for the John Two-Hawks Benefit Concert & Art Sale a fundraising event for the museum on September 26 being held at the Eureka Springs Carnegie Public Library “Bookend” location. Both Matinee and evening performances are available with general admission and VIP options.

Sabina Miller came into the Museum of Eureka Springs Art yesterday to see her late husband’s VW POP-UP ART SHOW & SALE on display. She said she knows Jack would be so happy!

If you are VW fan you will want to see these! We have several original paintings, a giclée, some prints, and a very limited number of t-shirts for sale (only have M & L shirts since this is the end of the supply)
