In booth 43 you'll find Terrapin Pottery (Laura Wilkane) and Nancy Adams. Laura Wikane is an artist who enjoys making functional ceramics for everyday use with bold colors to brighten up your day. Nature is the inspiration behind her glazing with ocean waves on sandy beaches dinnerware and with her rich dark textured dinnerware in green, brown, and amber. As the lead organizer for Clay Fest, Laura brings together the many styles of potters from the Willamette Valley area for others to enjoy each fall. She is making the world more beautiful one mug at a time.
Nancy Adams gave her life to clay at age 18, and enjoyed many happy years of making sculptural pottery. Nancy's work represents the use of animal and plant totems and their inspiration as guides through life. Nancy throws and carves each piece, hand models and sculpts flora and fauna. The process includes airbrushing matte underglazes and firing to maturity in an oxidation kiln.
