Different kind of art today💛☀️🎨proof that you don’t need to spend a fortune to have an amazing summer. Had so much fun creating these “bucket” lists with my ten year old. I saw something a long time ago that said you only get 18 summers with your kids, if you’re lucky. And I took that to heart. There is value in the big trips, the grand excursions, the memorable and exciting. But I think there is also immense value in teaching your kids to find joy in the every day. In the mundane. The smaller moments filled with so much joy and laughter. So much life. That’s where life is lived. In the in between.

Here’s to slow summers and finding joy in all of the small moments🩵

Sometimes you just need to go sit with the trees.

Years ago I read a story. And ever since I have tried to look at people the way I look at trees (story below.)

When you go out into the woods and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it.
You just allow it. You appreciate the tree. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying ‘You’re too this, or I’m too this. That judging mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are - Ram Dass

Have you ever spent like an hour creating a perfect reel only to have your app freeze up and delete the entire thing? 😣 so instead of a cool reel on day one of my sketch book you just get a photo (for now) it’s late and I’m exhausted but tomorrow I will re-put together the reel that I had prepared for you all 😂😭🤦🏼‍♀️

Anyone else obsessed with stickers as a child only to realize you are just as, if not more so, obsessed as an adult? Just me?

Recently got this iridescent sticker paper and it is SO FUN!

All of my stickers are hand drawn, painted and then scanned in to the computer. A few of my recent designs here.

So you tell me— are people still into stickers or am I just weird? 😂 well I’m definitely weird. But also stickers are so awesome!

Should I add a few of these to my Etsy shop?
