The inaugural Murdock International Piano Competition will be held this coming October in Eugene, Oregon. Competitors will be offered $20,000 in cash prizes as well as solo recital and orchestra engagements all around Oregon.

Our 8 semi-finalists will be granted room and board in addition to $500 for travel. The 3 finalists will have an opportunity to perform on Steinway's SpirioCast, which can be live-streamed on SpirioCast pianos all around the world. The 3 finalists will also perform a newly composed work for the competition: The winner of the solo piano composition award

It is an honor to introduce the Jury of the Semifinal and Final round.

Once our application deadline of June 1 passes. Our judges will announce the 8 finalists who will be invited to Eugene, Oregon on July 1.

Of the 8 semifinalists 3 will proceed to perform on the Steinway SprioCast which will be live-streamed around the world.

Following his recital on Tuesday we had the pleasure of hosting Steven Spooner for a masterclass on Wednesday April 15th with students from the University of Oregon!
