Welcome to an evening of immersive sound. Allow the vibrations of crystal singing bowls, drum, voice, and other instruments to relax your conscious mind and take you on a journey deeper into yourself. The evening will start with an opening invitation to ground yourself with a custom tea blend designed to support your nervous system. We will then transition into sound while you relax or meditate in your cozy nest. At the end of the sound journey, we will welcome you back with some group chanting and chimes to seal the practice.

What to bring:
- Bring your own mug
- Comfort items, like a mat, blanket, pillows, and/or crystals- we'll be on the floor.
- Your whole self

Saturday, September 26

Doors at 6:45pm. The room will be closed at 7:25pm to protect the flow of the evening. The journey will start at 7:30pm.

Questions? Feel free to ask Jessi at crystalroseharmony.gmail.com!

Sliding scale $25-$75, please reach out if expense is a barrier.

What do Tony K, Michael Manring, and Jarrod Kaplan have in common? Besides being way less attractive than Shakira, they all stand out as exceptional innovators of their craft at a time when so much blends into the realm of formula and in-distinction. They have been collaborating on stage and in the studio for the past two decades and continue to create absolutely stunning instrumental music that moves the body, mind and soul in equal measure. The band can best be described as an acoustically influenced effervescent power trio for the 21st century.

An Open Letter to Our Community:
(It’s a long one, buckle up!)

To enter the Hybrid Gallery is to enter a place of possibility. Located in the historic Whiteaker district of Eugene, the Hybrid has existed for the last decade, serving as a venue, a gallery, events space, and a community hub. In the last couple years, the focus on the arts has been revitalized with new passion and vision. The arts team has invested in creating a safe space for q***r and neurodivergent community members, and also a safe space for creative expression in all its forms. In the last year, the Hybrid has:
* Curated art shows and open calls to artists of all experience levels
* Supported individual artists with guidance and coaching in sharing their work with the public
* Provided networking opportunities between experienced professional artists and new-to-the-scene creatives
* Offered sliding scale programming for artists, including inclusive figure drawing, peer support groups, poetry and writing circles, open mic, art and crafting workshops, artists and maker pop-up markets, gallery receptions, and opportunities for artists to show, talk about, and sell their work and much, much more.
This fall, we are going to be leaning in to becoming a third space and DIY community gathering spot.

That means more open hours, an expanded local artisan gift shop, a space to make art as well as show it, a space to gather with friends and neighbors and other creatives. Kind of like a community center, but way more fun!

*We will still offer performance space, art classes, rentals and all the creative outlets you have come to know and love, but with MORE opportunity for community and creative uses!

***We are launching memberships! Right now, we are offering spots for Founding Circle Members but we plan to offer many more tiers soon.***

What does this mean for the community?
The Hybrid will be:
* Opening up lots of Volunteer Opportunities
* Expanding our art supplies so there’s always something to do when you drop in. (Art Cart sponsored by MECCA - a local nonprofit that sells secondhand arts and crafts supplies)
* Speaking of something to do, we also have a TV with a VCR and a library of VHS tapes, a bookcase of board games, card games, tarot and oracle decks, and coloring books! And we’re constantly adding more! (Want to donate?)
* Adding coffee! We will be starting next week with Equiano Coffee cold brew and adding in espresso drinks very soon!
* More peer support groups and opportunities to gather and build relationships (similar to our Artist’s Way offering earlier this year)
* Offering up the space to be utilized by community members to organize workshops, classes, book clubs, plant swaps, sewing circles, and much much more! The sky is the limit! (Seriously, if you have an idea, reach out!)
* Doing everything we can to ensure that we are a safe space. To us, this means doing everything with transparency and accountability, and offering up a code of conduct we hope our community will use to help guide their actions in our space. (Code of conduct coming very soon! If you have experience in this area and would like to contribute, again, please reach out!)

How can you help?
* Volunteer!
* Tell your friends and neighbors about The Hybrid.
* Bring a friend to an event!
* Become a Member! (Yes this is NEW, go take a look!)
* Donate!
* We are also going to have a list of art supplies and other needs on our website that you can reference when you’re decluttering or thrifting.
* We want your feedback and suggestions. Our inbox is always open!
* Sell your creations (art, clothes, stickers, books, ceramics, etc!) at our retail shop!
* Do you know of a food truck that might need a home? With our expanded open hours, we would love to have food back on the premises.

What’s not changing about The Hybrid is our core values of community, creativity, inclusivity, and accessibility.

Thank you for being here. We literally can’t do this without you.

Santiago Uceda is a Peruvian-born artist, illustrator, and designer based in Eugene, Oregon. Through painting, printmaking, collage, and digital media, he creates surreal worlds inhabited by creatures that reflect the absurdity of being human. His work explores surveillance, conspiracy theories, cults, identity, and the uneasy feeling that the world is unraveling. He's less interested in offering answers than in asking questions and leaving space for viewers to arrive at their own.

His imagery pulls from folklore, propaganda, symbolism, and ordinary observations, balancing humor with unease. The process is layered and experimental, letting accidents and intuition shape each piece.

Alongside his studio practice, Uceda has spent more than twenty years working as an art director and designer. His clients include Adidas, Billabong, Oregon State University, Notre Dame, and Ninkasi Brewing. His work has been recognized by American Illustration, Latin American Ilustración, and the International Motion Arts Awards.

INSTANCE
Calpi Strawberrie

After working for five years as a caregiver for disabled adults, I developed a deep interest in memory and memory care. With my peers I often heard the phrase "this is the new normal," when routines had to change and people learned to live with sudden or ongoing loss of mobility, food restrictions, and often neurologic misfirings. I was made acutely aware that we're all in the process of gaining and losing and at the same time, what looks ordinary right now is what a life ultimately becomes.
This collection of photographs spans 2016 to 2026. I take a lot of inspiration from candid photos of Kurt Cobain, the family photos I stole from my mother's house, and the afternoons I spent checking old Polaroids for film at Value Village in Redmond, Washington.

I take instant photos for my future self and I take them because I don't trust my memory not to fail as I do. Behind the noise of a clambering shutter sits a much younger version of me, chain-smoking ci******es, kicking my feet in a river, and collecting unimportant moments that will eventually add up to a lifetime of instances.
