About Stephanie and Steve Wood
Stephanie and Steve Wood are very well known for their contributions to the Erie Art community! After Stephanie earned a degree in art history from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest Edinboro), she and her husband, Steve, founded the Bayfront Gallery, which showcased Erie's regional art and artists in the McAllister Building on East Dobbins Landing for 23 years.
In Steve’s words: "It was the best view in town, beautiful and unique and ever-changing. It was like a kaleidoscope of art." Stephanie called it 'perfectly imperfect' and we felt very privileged to have had it for that long.
After learning of plans to demolish McAllister Place and the surrounding buildings in 2019, they searched for a new place and just this year opened Artiques Gallery on Nevada in Erie, PA. This unique gallery features artwork ranging from antique and vintage from some of Erie’s art legends to contemporary art by Stephanie and other local artists.
