Never say never. 📣

I make my living mostly on reproductions of my work, so I price my paintings based on a lot of other factors like experience level, time to complete, tools, etc. If someone resonates with a piece enough to give it a home, I always feel forever grateful. 💜

For some reason my art posts are being shown to less than 0.5% of you.

Have you been seeing my posts? You know, the ones that aren't about how bad AI s*cks? It seems the only posts I'm making that are being seen are the ones that strike a controversial note.

People now think I'm here only blabbing about AI, when in reality I'm posting my art and so much more with the occasional anti-AI post sprinkled in there.

I feel like Facebook is a dying platform sometimes. 😭

What would you like to see more of from me? Or, maybe feel free to check out my other socials so you can see my work elsewhere ~ on Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, & Tiktok

A sad day for the arts ~ I've always wanted to see her infinity exhibition 😢

Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, famous for covering her colorful installation designs with polka dots, has died at 97. https://cnn.it/4wXXTzf

Your AI flyer is ugly as hell and makes me never want to support your business. 🙂

My Luna Moth kitten is finally coming together! 🌿

I'm going to be moving forward with the background now in a studio Ghibli style. It's been very slow painting progress this summer, but I'm proud of myself for finally making something.

There's this thing happening where people are becoming so used to seeing AI, that they unable to trust whether something is real or not. That's pretty scary, in reality.

I don't just look at a photo anymore and assume it's just a photo, I look hard. I look at all the details. Especially if the photo has that "look." You may know what I'm talking about ~ something just feels too shiny, off, or glazed over in some fashion that you automatically think, "That has to be AI."

I don't really blame people for being overly cautious about AI. It's getting more and more realistic when it comes to "photos," and videos.

Some are obvious, like the AI slop flyers we have been tirelessly seeing every business use for everyday things like restaurant menus, your kids after-school ball park event, your local farm stand, open mic, etc. (Don't even get me started on using AI images for your food items when you literally have the real thing in front of you. 🤦‍♂️) And others, like videos of animals being saved by some random stranger, are viewed by millions and loved my millions without even realizing it's AI.

Unfortunately, artists, photographers, and writers alike are the ones feeling this the hardest. Our work isn't trusted anymore by the AI skeptics. Our work isn't respected by the AI bros who take it and feed it into the machine and think it's funny. Our work isn't wanted anymore by local businesses because they can just use slop.

We are feeling it HARD and for one, I'm tired of being told my work "looks like AI," when everything "created" by AI is trained on billions of already existing images created by REAL HUMAN ARTISTS.

Support your local artists if you can and please for the love of god, look a little further into someones work before accusing them of using AI. We need to do better.

*Yes, this was a real comment I received about my photos. I'm using it to make a point that people just assume whatever they want*

Today is "World Photography Day" and one thing I don't share very often is the fact that I used to enjoy making weird photography; Using a timer on a tripod, myself as a model, and photoshop I created these conceptual photos. A lot of these are from 2013~2016 with a few exceptions.

I still love taking photos but have mostly moved on to landscapes and macro photography.

"Line of Totality"

Just in time for the total solar Eclipse that happened a few days back. In 2024 I watched the total solar Eclipse from Texas and experienced totality for the first time. It was honestly a life-changing experience and I cried. This painting was made using watercolors during the 2023 partial Eclipse in Utah. 🌙
