I'm delighted to host the 5th edition of Boulder Tonight, a live, in-person, variety talk show, featuring guest artists, the punk/rock/fusion freestyling house band, Black Market Translation, plus informal interviews conducted by yours truly, Ira Liss, host of the show, who along with our show's director, Hektor Munoz is also co-producer.

Celebrate creativity!
I'm excited to have several guest artists – Ted Vaca, SETH, Jochanaan and more – featured on this Friday's show, Boulder Tonight, a variety/talk show where creative individuals are recognized and celebrated.

Many poets/performing artists have attended, participated in, or competed in the Denver Poetry Slam at the Mercury Cafe, which has been happening on Sunday evenings – beginning 8pm – for decades.

Did you know that Ted Vaca, one of this Friday's guest artists, started up the Slam in Denver? Did you know he's a National Slam Poet Winner? and a published poet, and he's one heck of a performing artist!

I'm delighted to have Jochanaan as one of our guest artists for the variety/talk show, Boulder Tonight, this Friday, 6:30pm, June 28th. I've performed with Jochanaan in his role as actor and performance poet in several Hektor Munoz productions of Poets Onstage.

I've also had the pleasure of performing with him at the Mercury Cafe, when he plays a huge variety of flutes as one of the improvisational, spontaneous musicians of Art Compost and the Word Mechanics. This is a band that for more than 20 years has backed up and accompanied poets, writers, spoken word artists and singers who jump up to the microphone each Sunday evening, 6 to 8pm at the Merc. The mic is open to anyone who would like to try out their words backed up by the improvised music of talented musicians.

See an interview with visual artist Carolyn Trebian, originally recorded online, on Zoom, on May 15, 2021 at the time of the pandemic.

Carolyn's family, ethnic, and spiritual background is part of the Inuit culture of the arctic native peoples who have lived for generations in the northern arctic regions of Northern Canada and North America.
