I am an amateur photographer and travel/history enthusiast from Florida. My love of photography began in 2005 with the purchase of my first digital camera. Shortly afterwards, I started an online web gallery to share the photos with friends and family. Since then, the interest in my photography has grown and so has my topics. By 2009, the site expanded to the travel site "Around the World in Pictu

res", a collection of photos from the places I have visited along with the stories behind them. Then in 2011, the site expanded once again with the addition of two new pages "Above the Clouds" and "Touch Em All". The latest expansion was as a result of the demand for my aircraft and baseball photography. What has started as a way to share photos to friends and family has grown to an internet collection of over 12,000 photos nearing 1 million visitors. I am not a professional nor do I make money off the photos or stories. It is simply a project of mine to help get the photos out there for everyone to enjoy. I really hope you enjoy the site and much as I enjoy bringing it to you. If you enjoy the work, remember to follow us on Facebook, Twitter or by email to be notified when new content is added. Also feel free to comment or add you own personal experiences from your visits. If you have any question or comments, e-mail me at [email protected].

Laughter echoed through the trees today at the playground at Northeast Venice Park—a place where energy runs high and worries seem to disappear with every swing and slide. From climbing structures to wide-open spaces, it’s the kind of spot where imaginations take over and simple moments turn into lasting memories.

Watching children play so freely is a gentle reminder of something deeper—of trust, joy, and living fully in the moment. In a world that often feels rushed and complicated, their carefree spirit points back to a simpler kind of faith.

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 18:3

Sometimes the path we’re meant to walk isn’t about striving harder, but about returning to wonder, trust, and joy in the One who created it all.

📸 A few snapshots from a day of joy, seen through the lens of a Wandering Disciple.

Tucked away on the quiet side of Longboat Key, Quick Point Nature Preserve feels like a place where the world slows down and creation speaks a little louder. 🌿

Winding trails lead through mangroves and coastal hammock, opening up to peaceful views of Sarasota Bay where the water gently meets the shore. It’s the kind of place where every step invites you to pause… to listen… and to remember just how intentional God’s handiwork truly is.

As I wandered these paths, I was reminded that sometimes the most meaningful moments aren’t found in the grand destinations—but in the quiet corners where we can simply be still in His presence.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

This little preserve is more than just a hidden gem—it’s a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with both creation and the Creator.

There’s something about stepping onto Greer Island that feels like crossing into a quieter world. No rush, no noise—just the soft crunch of sand underfoot and the steady rhythm of the Gulf rolling in and out.

We wandered without much of a plan, letting the shoreline guide us. Shells scattered like little treasures, seabirds drifting on the breeze, and the sun stretching low across the water—it all felt unhurried, like time itself had decided to slow down for a while here on Longboat Key.

In those quiet steps, it was easy to feel something deeper… a reminder that even in the stillness, God is present—steady, constant, and beautifully woven into every part of creation.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” — Psalm 24:1

Sometimes the most meaningful journeys aren’t about where you’re going, but what you notice along the way. 🌊

Stepping back in time at the beautiful Edison and Ford Winter Estates 🌴

Walking the grounds once enjoyed by Thomas Edison and Henry Ford feels like entering a different era—where innovation, curiosity, and quiet moments along the Caloosahatchee River all came together. From the historic homes and lush gardens to the incredible banyan trees, every corner tells a story of creativity and vision.

It’s amazing to think that ideas helping shape the modern world were sparked right here—reminding us that God often plants inspiration in still, unexpected places.

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” — Proverbs 2:6

As I wandered these historic paths, I was reminded that every gift, every idea, and every spark of creativity ultimately comes from Him. May we continue to seek His wisdom as we explore both the world around us and the purpose He’s placed within us.

There’s something timeless about a traveling circus rolling into town 🎪
The distant hum of generators, the bright lights rising against the night sky, and the promise of wonder just beyond the ticket gate.

For generations, shows like Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus carried magic from one town to the next—bringing acrobats who seemed to defy gravity, performers whose talent left you speechless, and moments that made you feel like a kid again.

It wasn’t just a show… it was an experience. A fleeting world of awe that arrived, amazed, and moved on—leaving behind only memories and maybe a little sawdust on your shoes.

There’s beauty in that kind of journey. A reminder that not everything is meant to stay, but it can still leave a lasting impact.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

Even as the world changes and traditions evolve, His presence remains constant—our true anchor in every season of life.

There’s something about Myakka River State Park that just slows everything down in the best way. From the still waters of the river reflecting the sky, to the quiet rustle of the trees along the trails, it’s a place where you can truly breathe and take it all in.

Walking the paths, spotting wildlife, and standing beneath those wide open Florida skies reminded me how powerful it is to step away from the noise and reconnect with creation. Every bend in the trail felt like a reminder that beauty doesn’t have to be chased—it’s already here, waiting to be noticed.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” — Psalm 19:1

Out here, it’s hard not to see His handiwork in every detail.

Throwing it back to 2011 and a journey through the magic of the The Great Movie Ride 🎬

From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like walking straight into the movies themselves—traveling through classic scenes, unforgettable characters, and the storytelling that shaped generations. Whether it was the glamour of old Hollywood or the thrill of iconic film moments, every turn reminded us just how powerful a story can be.

Even though this attraction has taken its final bow, the memories still roll on like a timeless film reel. It was more than just a ride—it was a tribute to the art of storytelling and the imagination that brings it to life.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…” – Romans 8:28

Sometimes it’s in looking back that we see how every moment, every memory, is part of a bigger story being written.

Throwing it back to 2011 and a day spent exploring Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom 🚀✨

There’s something about Tomorrowland that always points your eyes forward—the glow of neon lights, the hum of innovation, and the sense that something greater is just ahead. Even years later, these moments still remind me how much wonder there is in the journey.

As I look back through these photos, I’m reminded that as a wandering disciple, we’re not just moving forward physically—we’re walking in faith, trusting the path God has set before us. The future may be unknown, but it’s never uncertain in His hands.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Wherever the road leads, keep walking in faith and wonder. ✨

There was a time in Orlando when stepping into a hotel felt like stepping straight into your childhood… and back in 2011, the Nickelodeon Suites Resort was exactly that place.

Bright colors, cartoon murals, and the unmistakable energy of Nickelodeon were everywhere you looked. From themed suites filled with our favorite characters to the waterpark where that giant bucket would dump “slime” (or at least bright green water!) on laughing kids and families—it was pure fun from sunrise to sunset.

It wasn’t just a hotel… it was an experience. Character meet-and-greets, poolside games, and nonstop entertainment made it feel like you were living inside your favorite shows. At the time, it was one of the only places in the world where Nickelodeon truly came to life like this.

Looking back at these photos from our 2011 visit, it’s amazing how quickly time passes. The hotel may have been rebranded years later, but the memories of that colorful, carefree place are still just as vivid.

Sometimes it’s not just about where you go—but the joy you find along the way.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above…” – James 1:17
