Our Kickstarter has ended, and we did not meet our funding goal. Because Kickstarter is all-or-nothing, no pledges will be charged and no rewards will be fulfilled.

For those who contributed directly via Venmo, our self-imposed deadline has also passed. I’ll be reaching out to each of you individually in the next few weeks to discuss next steps.

For now, we’re pausing further development of Hawk Creek Sports & Social Club while we settle obligations and consider what a future path might look like.

We’re down to the final 21 days of our Kickstarter campaign — and it’s time for one last big rally to make Hawk Creek Sports & Social Club a reality.

First, a huge THANK YOU to Kerri and Judi for pledging since our last update! Your support means the world to us.

We’re now 4% funded — and while we still have a ways to go, we believe in the power of our community to make big things happen. This project is only possible if we all pull together in these last three weeks.

We're almost a month into our Kickstarter campaign, and we're 2% funded. Thank you to Leo for your generous pledge this week! We're grateful to all those that have pledged, shared, and followed so far. The reality is that we have a month left in our campaign, and a long way to go to make our all or nothing goal, and if we don't make our goal by the end of August, we've got some difficult decisions to make. We've been working on this project for 3 years now, and right now I'm not sure what the future holds. So, if you want a new place to play tennis, and an all around home for play and community, we need your help.
We'll also be trying some new things to drive interest this month. I'm working with a team from Kickstarter to make some changes, so stay tuned for that. I'll also be doing personal follow ups with a lot of folks that have expressed interest in Hawk Creek but have not yet made a pledge.
I'd also like to address some feedback we've received about our images and facility renderings. Yes, the facility renderings we've used were generated by AI, however a lot of work went into them to make them match the preliminary floor plans and design concepts of Hawk Creek throughout its phases of development and expansion which we've worked on with experts from across the industry such as Universal Steel, The Sports Facilities Companies, and Ground Rule/TAG among others. Admittedly, I should have replaced the AI generated logo with the actual artist designed logo to make sure the images matched my brand package. That's not where my talents lie, so now that I'm aware I'll give it my best shot. My goal was to give people an idea of what we are planning, and a picture is worth a thousand words.
Long story short, this is not a scam site or project. Scot, Alicia & Gavin are all real people. Alicia & I have been working and playing tennis in our Southern Tier community for a combined +-60 years, and if you're reading this, many of you know us personally. We’re two weeks into our Kickstarter campaign, and it’s been a mix of excitement, learning, and a few tough bumps.

Two major pledges were recently canceled by backers who, according to Kickstarter, were not acting in good faith. That brought us down from over $11,000 pledged to just over $800 — 2% of our goal. We also received an additional $10 via Venmo, which we’re incredibly thankful for.

While that was hard to see, it hasn’t shaken our belief in the project or the need for this space.

✅ Hawk Creek is still very much alive.
✅ The need for a community-driven indoor sports and social facility hasn’t changed.
✅ And there’s still time — 46 days left — to rally and make this happen.

What happens next?

We need your help to build real momentum this week. Here’s how you can be a game-changer:
