Saber Guild - Telos Temple

Telos Temple is Northeast Pennsylvania's local branch of Saber Guild, a Lucasfilm and Disney recognized costume and choreography group.

We perform as a not-for profit to raise money for various charities. Saber Guild - Telos Temple is the Northeast Pennsylvania chapter of Saber Guild. Saber Guild is a not-for-profit, LucasFilm-recognized Star Wars costuming group that specializes in choreographed lightsaber shows. We perform at charity and community events, as well as comic book and sci-fi conventions, all to raise money for chari

ty and share our love of Star Wars with fans around the world. Saber Guild started in 2006 with half a dozen people in California, members of established costuming organizations and unofficial lightsaber choreography groups coming together to have fun, serve the community and represent the Star Wars brand in a way that had never been done before. Now, many years later, Saber Guild has over 800 members with temples located in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Not only are we Lucasfilm’s preferred lightsaber performance group, but we are the largest recognized lightsaber club in the world. Telos Temple serves in Bradford, Susquehanna, Wayne, Sullivan, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Pike, Luzerne, Monroe, Schuylkill, Carbon, Northampton, Lehigh, and Bucks Counties. We perform scripted, choreographed shows, as well as our interactive Padawan Training Institute, where we teach aspiring young Jedi the ways of the force and the use of a lightsaber. Any and all proceeds for our appearances go 100% to charities. None of our members are compensated in any way for their appearances. All of their costumes as well as all of our props and display pieces are either fabricated by our members or purchased by them. We are a purely volunteer driven organization.

Lady Vespera insists that you join Saber Guild at Lehigh Valley Comic Con this coming weekend. The Jedi tried to object. They are currently rethinking their position.

It’s Monday, which means another year of FAN EXPO Philadelphia has come to a close. Thanks once again to Saber Guild - Malachor Temple for having us join in on the fun. And thank you to the fantastic con-goers who interacted with us throughout the weekend. Through our combined efforts, we raised $1,625 to support the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)! And we brought a lot of smiles to people’s faces, to boot.

Members of the Star Wars community are deeply saddened by the passing of Marcia Lucas.

Marcia’s impact on Star Wars was largely behind the screen, as she worked on the original trilogy of Star Wars, which earned her an Academy Award. Her passion and love for Star Wars touched the lives of countless fans and will live on in her memory. ✨

Heroes don’t always wear capes. Sometimes they wear robes and lightsabers.

The Jedi and Sith of Saber Guild - Malachor Temple and Saber Guild - Telos Temple are teaming up to raffle off a premium lightsaber at this year’s Fan Expo Philadelphia! Every ticket purchased helps support children who are fighting battles much tougher than those found in a galaxy far, far away.

Don’t feel like adding to your saber collection like General Grievous? No worries! You can always donate to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) directly. Just scan the QR code on the flyer! We’d still love it if you swung by our table at Fan Expo, though 🙂

✨Incoming Transmission✨

Security footage of blocking/parry training has been leaked. It turns out that one does not become a formidable opponent through the Force alone. Sometimes a student-engineered training droid is needed.

Thank you Robolancers Team 321 for allowing us to try out your robot this weekend! This impressive student-run organization is one of two FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams based in Central High School in Philadelphia. Today’s robotics students are tomorrow’s innovators and problem-solvers. And regardless of what side of the Force Telos’s members fall on, we all support these students’ bright futures.
