❤️ check: Ministry

Pharisees, religous leaders, criticized Jesus because he ministered to "The Sinners."

Mark 2:17: "When Jesus heard this, he told them, 'It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are sick. I didn't come to call the righteous, but sinners.'"

Still, people get angry when they see a minister going to the jail, or speaking to someone on the street who they see as a horrible person, a sinner.

Here's the thing, not all sinners look dirty and lost. Some look like CEOs and drive fancy cars, some look like every day people just trying to live their life, some look like people who pledge to do the right thing...

1. Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

ALL have sinned... that means everyone. Just because what you're doing is legal or doesn't look as bad, or because you haven't "taken action" on your thoughts and words, doesn't make it better in your heart. Jesus said:
Hate = murder (1 John 3:15)
Lust = adultry (Matthew 5:27-28)
Sin is sin...

2. Christians are called to minister to the lost, ALL of them... not just the ones you deem worthy to be talked to.

Matthew 25:35-36, 40 ESV
[35] For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, [36] I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’
[40] And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Jesus ministered to everyone, the so called sinners as well as the religious leaders. The main thing to see is that the sinners knew they were lost... the religious were so stuck in their rules the had no clue how lost they really were.

No one is above the laws Jesus laid out for us.
1. Love God
2. Love people

He didn't say it would be easy, in fact he said you would be persecuted if you do.

So the next time you catch yourself saying something hateful about someone, check your heart. See where that hate actually stems from.
1. Do they anger you because they are "getting by with things?" (Reminder: ALL have sinned, that means you too. Just because you haven't gotten caught, doesnt mean you are guiltless.)
2. Do they anger you because they actually are doing things in the light that you do in secret (so they remind you of you?)
3. If you are truly a Christian, you know that you are supposed to love your enemy, pray for those who persecute you.... Maybe, just maybe, you have been called to reach out to that person in love. Plant a seed of faith and maybe start watering it?

God is going to ask you to do things that you are afraid to do. Things that make you stretch outside your comfort zone. Looking at today's verse, Esther 4:14 reminds us to look beyond our fear be cause we were created for more. Perhaps, such a time as this.

Stop worrying about what you cannot do alone, and remember who walks with you. Speak the truth outloud, "I can do all things throught Christ!" and "With God all things are possible."

Are you so wrapped up in what everyone else is doing, that you think you should just do what they're doing? That's so much cooler or makes more money than what God has lead my heart to do...

Do you care so much about what you THINK people want you to do that you are not leaning into and listening to what God wants you to do? You should do this... Give up on your dream because you can't make money doing ...

People will say all kinds of things even if they think it is in your best interest. Satan will do anything to keep you from your true purpose in life, even if it is puttinghis lies into someone else's head to stray you from the course God set you on. Satan puts so many glittery distractions in your path that makes it hard to focus, therefore it's difficult to succeed. Sadly, many of us don't even realize when we have been distracted and stepped of the path until we are so far off that we finally feel lost and overwhelmed.

In the end, the only plan that will work well in your life is God's plan for your life.

What desires has he put in your heart to serve?
Don't be afraid to try whatever it is. If it is truly from God, you will succeed IF you put forth effort and have faith that he will take care of the rest.

God is a good father who gives good gifts, but we must so our part too. He IS faithful to his word, IF we trust him fully.

Do you have a fear of failure?

Do you quit something before you even start? You know, the I have never done that, so I can't do it kind of thought process so you don't even try?

Do you put past failures on a current task, "I failed the last time so I will fail this time so why even try?" ... but you never actually took time to figure out why you failed, or maybe you never actually gave it a fair shake, meaning you did it half-heartedly which is why you were not successful, but you don't want to admit being lazy?

Do you start things just to quit them when they get difficult? We live in a society that wants instant gratification without having to work forr what they want.

Are you afraid of what people will think of you of you fail at something? People try to push their failure mindset of on you by saying things that are not true about you or by saying things against something they truly don't understand. Maybe people have made you feel worthless or like you just don't measure up to THEIR expectations.
REMEMBER: the enemy comes to kill, steal,and destroy. If someone says something that isn't beneficial to making you better, blow it off and walk away. You do not need their negativity (drama) in your life. It is OK to remove these people from your daily life and love them from a distance.

Don't mistake constructive criticism or someone pushing you to succeed because they see your full potential when you don't see it in yourself as put downs or that nothing you do is ever good enough for them. Some people are actually in your corner telling you to get back in the ring and keep fighting. Don't give up! These people are holding you accountable to your future self. They mean well and truly desire to see you succeed in life.

News flash: you only fail IF you give up and quit. Just because you didn't succeed the first time doesn't make you a failure. As long as you're trying, you are just finding ways that don't work until you find the way it does work. Thomas Edison tried to create a light bulb. He failed multiple times but he kept trying until he was successful.

Stop worrying about what others think of you and start worrying about what your future self weill think of you in 10 years f you just give up and quit now? Ask yourself, "Will I continue to follow this pattern of quitting just because something is difficult? "

What has God laid on your heart to do? Actually stop and ask him. Search your heart and see what you truly desire in life. What passion has he given you to want to serve others? That can be a scary thought, but the thing you are most worried about failing at is quite possibly the very thing God designed you to do. Put everything you have e into that. Stop chasing every desire, and focus on one. Stop trying to be like the Joneses and just be who God created YOU to be. Ask for wisdom, then have faith that God has you covered.

Nothing good ever comes easy or everyone would be doing it!

In a world that teaches "The Blame Game," to point fingers at others instead of looking at ourselves, and to block oout anyone who doesn't like what we feel is right; remember that we were instructed to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us. We are to do good, feed them, give them water, shine Jesus' light...

So, before you slam the door on someone forever, block them because they believe differently, say hateful things to someone who thinks differently.... remember, Jesus didn't condemn the woman who committed adultry, or other people in the Bible. He told them to go and sin no more. He doesn't do those things to you. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God. He died on a cross to save us ALL from our sins. It's about Jesus. Our savior who conquered the grave. He is the only one who can change hearts.

Update: You should know, every post I make is a personal hert check for myself. Something i am dealing with, leads Jesus and I to have a discussion. My posts are the things he tells me about my heart.

If any of my posts hits you hard, it's not because I'm pointing fingers, know that it is the Lord knocking on you heart to ask him for guidance in your life. I was a sinner that came to Jesus for help, guidance, love and peace that only he can give. I am still striving to do better and be better every day. I cannot blame anyone or point fingers at anyone for anything, because Jesus isn't pointing fingers at me. He died for everyone's sins... he did not pick and chose who... he died so that ALL who believe can be saved.

Side note: the bible says that if we are holding unforgiveness, forgiveness will be withheld from us. We cannot pick and choose who we forgive. If we want to be forgiven, we must forgive. Period. No matter what has happened... look at the persecution Jesus went throughout. The torture he endured... and in the end, he said, "Father forgive them..."
