Guys! There is a LOT of Samoans in the East Coast. You’ll find each will find each other if you just come dance or watch. This year’s Polyfest in Jacksonville NC, I combined 5 groups plus my organization, to represent Samoa and we had a blast. Come siva and find connections and your cousins 🌺😁

Finally, we have the one and only autalavou from the Augusta Samoan Christian Fellowship church in Georgia. I was invited to attend their fundraiser event to be one their Judges and the next day my family and I attended their church service. Everything was great. They had koogai afterwards and I felt prompted to ask and invite them to dance in my segment for Polyfest. They have an awesome pastor who is very involved and very welcoming. I was not very hopeful at first just because of the timeline and I understand it can be too far for them to travel.

They were meant to be here this year! Their performance really put a smile on people’s faces and they truly made a lot of people emotional. Thank you ASCF! Your hardwork goes unnoticed and unquestionably rewarded by our God.

Pasefika Fusion was phenomenal! They performed this remix I created with my cousins help so well. I added some faarapu in the choreography to create a variety of the Pasefika. It was so fun watching them perform this number.

They work so well together! I’ve performed with Toelenu’u a few times now and they always show support for each other. The boys are always right there and the girls are always right there. So much unity in how they operate 🥰. Also can we talk about this song? It is such a vibe😇🥰🤩

We did a workshop in Alabama where I taught this dance and some of the participants were able to come out to North Carolina to perform the dance. One dancer learned this on her own using a video because she lives in South Carolina. The rest are local and we were able to learn together and two of them are siblings. This was their first Polyfest and they were amazing to work with.
