Here's a different kind of "art." Brilliant technology. Know why Japanese toilets are all the rage with American tourists returning stateside? Because they do everything but drive your car, that's why! Check out the YouTube video on how to use. These nifty inventions warm the toilet seat, remove stinky smells from the air, employ 3 streams of water (warmed if you prefer) to clean the bum, leaving you refreshed and sweet. Price? $1000-$10,000 in Japan; add 40% to the price here. Shows what kind of a civilized country is Japan!

In August Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party, 1881, a lovely lively party of young people are picnicking, au plein air, following a day of boating on the river. This party is as fresh and contemporary as any boating party that might take place today, despite being dated by the 19th century clothing of its participants. What was Renoir going for in this painting? What did he hope to achieve with it? Do you think he did so? Learning to Look allows the visitor to participate in thinking and feeling art and in going deeper than names, dates, and titles. We look at why a work was created and how successful the work ultimately becomes. Join our tours and Learn how to Look at art!

So proud of my ugly child. Needed a good cup for my coffee so I could stop using plastic ones. This was 1st attempt at under glazed coil pot with pull handle and sgraffito. Having fun working sub teacher assignment with local high school students while relearning a craft I once loved so deeply it actually saved my life. Funny how this assignment is doing the same thing for me again.
