Another large piece in progress…each stitch is healing ❤️‍🩹

Step 3 - embroider some texture

I’ve finished another painting;) this time I used acrylic paint on canvas. Then did embroidery. Then added wire.

Second of two pieces I completed this weekend. This one is called “zoom in” and it looks like a human cell to me. What happens when we go deep, and look inside of ourselves?

I painted with acrylic then embroidered with metallic gold thread for texture and used gold wire to create 3D lines. I like the shadows they create when you move around.

What does it look like to you?

One of two pieces I completed this weekend.

This one is called “zoom out”. We need to remember the big picture. Remember how we can navigate and be navigated by the stars ✨

I got some new supplies for my classes. And a new watercolor sketchbook…so I’ve been experimenting.

I’m looking forward to my next set of classes in May! We will do mushrooms and stones.
