East Rockaway High School's Annual Class Competition. Whose got the cup?! A class competition in East Rockaway High School that takes place between the months of January and March, involving students in grades 9 through 12.
Rock Rivalry consists of many competitive and creative events, such as a sports night, arranging/directing a short musical production, and creating both a stand and mural to reflect the theme of each respective performance.

Another Rock Rivalry has come to a close. We wanted to thank you all for engaging with us this weekend! We know all too well the memories and good times this weekend brings out in all of us.
Be mindful that Rock Rivalry is consistently changing and evolving with the times. No more ping pong, basketball, or art interpretation. We have Quiz Bowl today and sportsmanship. Just because it's changed, doesn't mean it's worth less to the kids that are involved with it today. It still means camaraderie, tradition, rule based fun, and it's exciting! So don't be upset if it's not exactly the same when you were in school. Chances are, it was different then for others before you.

HS was the best time because of good friends, great teachers and Rock Rivalry. Class of 1981!
The class of 62 never came in last and won the treasured cup twice.
Did you ever think of the amount of beer and whiskey that has gone through that cup??

Every time I hear this song, I think to myself "What a perfect opening song for Rock Rivalry!" A narrator and/or main character can describe the scenario/town/characters/situations, with other cast joining in along the way (think "beauty and the beast" how Belle walked thru the town singing...) :)
Just came back from Preview Night!
Every class did great!
May the best class win!
And remember it's not all about winning the cup (although it's amazing to win). It's about the memories made and a continuation of a long standing tradition!
Go on tomorrow and show the judges what you're made of!
