Wow, Peoria! It was so great to see all of you come out and support great community events like this. We hope you all had a great time because we had a great time spending time with all of you.

On July 23, 2026, 2,300 people came out to the Peoria Riverfront Museum for the Great Neighbor Appreciation Cookout! 🎉🌮🌭

Hosted by the Community Development Department, the event celebrated our community, along with our nation, in coordination with America 250. With tasty food, family-friendly activities, local vendors, and community partners, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks again to the Peoria Riverfront Museum and everyone who participated in all the fun! 💙❤️

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of being a part of the City of Peoria Illinois - Government's Great Neighbor Appreciation Cookout. We love getting to meet our neighbors in the community, chatting about what we do and sharing music with everyone! This is a great event where all of Peoria can come together, have fun and spend time as a community. We're proud to be a part of the community here in Peoria and we look forward to coming back next year.

Hey Peoria! We're celebrating you this Thursday at the City of Peoria Illinois - Government's Great Neighbor Appreciation Cookout at the Peoria Riverfront Museum!

The Great Neighbor Appreciation Cookout is this Thursday, July 23, from 5 PM – 7 PM at the Peoria Riverfront Museum (222 SW Washington Street). The free community event is filled with free food, family-friendly activities, community organizations and so much more!

We'll be there to spin your favorite tunes so be sure to stop by, say hello and do a little dancing - we can't wait to see everyone!

This year's cookout will also celebrate America 250, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Peoria Riverfront Museum will be open to the public with free access to all museum exhibits!

Last weekend was so much fun! We celebrated two amazing couples on back to back nights here in Central Illinois. Each group brought so much incredible energy to the dance floor and made the nights even more memorable. Thanks to the Hilton Garden Inn in Mattoon and the Gateway Building here in Peoria for their hospitality.
