Back in January at the , asked a question that’s been sitting with me ever since:

“What’s your superpower?”

I didn’t have an answer.

So instead of forcing one, I paid attention.

Over these last few weddings and events, I started noticing a pattern.

My superpower isn’t music.

It’s seeing what makes people unique.

It’s listening closely enough to find the little things that matter most, then intentionally building experiences around them until they become the moments everyone remembers.

Because the truth is, music by itself is just music.

But when it’s paired with the right people, the right atmosphere, and the right moment…

…it becomes something you can feel.

That’s what I love most about this job.

Not pressing play.

But helping create experiences that feel personal, authentic, and uniquely yours.

Maybe there isn’t a perfect title for that yet.

I just know that’s the kind of DJ I want to be.

One dance floor. Two families. Countless memories.

Jason & Yaritza’s wedding was filled with joy from the very beginning.

If the vibe is right and the moment calls for it, you’ll probably find Ya Neighborhood DJ out on the dance floor helping spread a little more joy.

What I loved most about this wedding was watching different cultures and generations come together to celebrate these two.

The ceremony isn’t just where the wedding begins.

It’s where the memories begin.

Long before the dance floor opens, my focus is on making sure every guest can hear every word, every vow, every reading, and every special moment clearly.

As someone who views myself as a sound engineer as much as a DJ, I’m constantly thinking about microphone placement, speaker coverage, timing, and transitions so couples can stay present and enjoy the moment.

When everything works seamlessly, most guests never notice.

And that’s exactly the point.

The ceremony deserves just as much attention as the celebration that follows.

Some moments feel straight out of a storybook. ✨

As Megan made her way down the stairs and toward the altar, Ryan waited for the moment they would begin their next chapter together.

What made this ceremony even more meaningful was the person standing beside them. Ryan’s father had the honor of officiating their wedding, creating a memory that will forever be part of their family’s story.

A father marrying not only his son, but welcoming a daughter.

Congratulations again to Ryan & Megan. Thank you for allowing me to be part of such a beautiful day. ❤️

As Jordan made her way down the aisle, Kade waited for the moment that would change both of their lives forever.

Surrounded by family, friends, and a beautiful spring day, they exchanged vows, shared their first kiss as husband and wife, and walked back up the path together to begin their next chapter.

Sometimes the most beautiful moments aren’t the grand gestures.

They’re the simple ones.

A walk toward forever.
A kiss.
A hand to hold for the rest of your life.
