julismithfineart.com Juli Smith grew up in Fargo, ND and it was there her passion for creating beautiful art was nurtured by nationally-renowned artist and sculptor, Catherine Mulligan. My art is a loose style that's been inspired by Henri Matisse, Richard Diebenkorn, Stan Kurth and Andy Evanson. I love the loose and flowing medium of watercolor and love to combine it with the creaminess of gouache"


Juli is a member of Jackson Civic Art Association, a current board member of the Michigan Water Color Society and the Mid Michigan Art Guild. She shows original works and prints at Great Lakes Art and Gift Gallery. Additionally, she has been juried into Exhibitions at the Jackson Potter Center, Michigan Water Color Society, and Ella Sharp Museum.
