A couple of posts ago I announced that Stephen Malkmus and his Jicks crew set a release date for their Beck produced album called “Mirror Traffic” (Aug 23 via Matador). Well now we have the opening track to the album called “Senator.”

This new Cults album is excellent, and streaming on NPR.

By now we shouldn’t be surprised by the powerful ways of online media. It’s a great sign to see bands getting their music out via Bandcamp or Soundcloud, and sometimes it works wonders.
