Close up on "Guardian of the Valley". Did you know the Harvest Mouse is on the endangered species list? They weigh less than one ounce and are classified as little acrobats and master builders!!! They like to climb flowers and wheat, and use their tails like monkeys. 😍😍 Have you ever seen a mouse this tiny?

Ok, I know there's this crazy hantavirus thing going on right now. But I don't think this little guy did it.

Did you know there is a mouse in Europe on the Endangered Species list? This is the story of a little Harvest Mouse who weighs only about one ounce! They are little builders and climbers. Known for climbing on plants and roosting, you can see this little "Guardian of the Valley" perched on a tulip.

I finished this piece in about eight sessions, mixed media oil on 20x24" canvas. He will be up on my blog and listed for sale soon! For now, this going on the drying rack before varnishing.

I am starting a new piece this week. The sketch is down. I finished some collage on it tonight. Tomorrow the fun begins. I have a good theme for this one and I'm excited to see how well I can tell a story with this one.
