Some New Springs News:

A gravel parking lot is planned for a patch of woods behind Springs Library, which would service the “Springs Triangle” area during times, like special events, when parking is at a premium.

Still in the preliminary design stages, the parking lot would be funded via $175,000 from the town’s capital budget, approved earlier this year.

The area at which it is planned, just off Springs-Fireplace Road near the library, has seen a swell of activity in recent years, particularly with events. The Springs Historical Society, for instance, recently patched up the Parsons Blacksmith Shop, right next to the library; the Springs Citizens Advisory Committee meets at Ashawagh Hall; and SpringsFest has taken off in the past few years as a fall mainstay in that area.

🚨 State of Emergency Declared 🚨

Effective 6:00 AM Sunday, February 22, the Town of East Hampton is under a State of Emergency due to severe winter storm conditions.

❄️ Roads may be closed if conditions become dangerous
❄️ Non-essential travel may be prohibited
❄️ Vehicles parked on Town roadways that interfere with plowing or emergency response may be removed

For everyone’s safety, please stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary and do not park on public streets.

When roads are clear, our Highway crews can work faster and police, fire, and EMS can respond without delay. The best way to support first responders during this storm is to give them the space they need to do their jobs.

Please prepare, check in on neighbors, and stay safe. Updates will continue through official Town channels.

This was SUCH a wonderful evening!
We are profoundly grateful to have honored over 400 dedications, and we thoroughly enjoyed raising our voices with all of you in celebration of the holiday season.

Thank you to the Lights of Love committee, to all our volunteers, and to everyone who participated in the festivities. We are truly blessed to host events where the entire community can come together to share old memories and honor traditions of the past, while also creating new ones with our children alongside our families, friends, and neighbors.

We believe that work done in the spirit of service is imperative to enriching any community. In keeping with this spirit, we will be sharing the proceeds from this event through a brand new scholarship for graduating 8th graders! Recipients will be selected based on their exceptional service to our community. These students will be recognized and receive their award at graduation this June!
