C2 PAINT COLOR OF THE YEAR 2027: PUEBLO

For the past several years we have recommended colors that allow us to seek calm, comfort and retreat. Now, we’re asking: what comes next?

C2 Pueblo reflects a renewed desire to re-engage with the things that make us feel alive. To notice the light, work with our hands and reconnect with the sensory world around us. Warm, earthy and remarkably responsive to its surroundings, Pueblo shifts throughout the day. In natural light, rosy, almost botanical notes emerge.

As the light fades, it becomes deeper, warmer and more earthen. Pueblo is the defining color of Rural Renaissance, our 2027 exploration of color, nature, materials, exploring the things that make us feel most alive.

Portuguese Dawn is lavender with gray beneath it, giving it both optimism and balance. It’s mixed from multiple colorants which gives it real depth. A color with some weight to it, it’s the kind that can change the whole energy of the room and the people within in.

Interior designer Barry Dixon has spent decades studying how color lives in a room — how it shifts with light, ages with a space, and earns its place over time.

His Naturals palette for C2 Paint is the result of that eye. Earth tones with mineral depth. Colors drawn from generational gardens, weathered stone, and afternoon light on natural fiber.

EGGSHELL EDITION

The unsung hero of walls! Eggshell paint is the finish most people are familiar with. It’s often the default for walls for its practicality and inoffensive sheen level.

So why is it called ‘Eggshell’? 🥚
Because the sheen (shine) is similar to the sheen of the outside of an egg!

Often specified on interior (residential) walls, because it strikes the perfect balance of matte and shine.

The ‘goldilocks’ of paint finishes - It’s not too matte (more fragile) and not too shiny (more reflective/ less forgiving to imperfections on walls) - Eggshell with a 15% sheen is just right!

When in doubt - Eggshell is often a safe bet 😉
