Let’s talk about something real quick. 🖤
THREE cancellations. All on the DAY of their appointments. In ONE day. Two of those being a NO CALL, NO SHOW. My heart is broken.
I’m going to be blunt because I feel like this needs to be said. Last-minute cancellations are not just an inconvenience to me. They cost me money.
Mac’s Shack is a SMALL BUSINESS. I don’t have a big salon full of clients walking through the door all day. When you book an appointment, that time is reserved specifically for YOU. I turn away other people who could have taken that spot, prepare for your appointment, and plan my day around my schedule.
I understand emergencies happen. I understand life gets crazy. But canceling because you simply changed your mind, forgot, or decided you didn’t feel like coming is disrespectful of my time and my business.
This is my time, my money, my supplies, and something I’m working HARD to build. I’m not doing this just for fun. I’m trying to grow a business, and I cannot do that when people treat appointments like they’re optional.
Please stop booking appointments if you aren’t going to respect them. My time is just as valuable as yours, and being a small business owner does not mean my time is free.
Moving forward, my cancellation policy will be enforced. No exceptions just because you don’t like the consequences. $20 for a cancellation 12hrs or less before your appointment. $30 for no call, no show.
I appreciate every client who shows up, communicates, and respects the time I set aside for them. Y’all are the reason I keep pushing and growing Mac’s Shack. 🖤
But please understand that supporting a small business also means respecting the person behind it.
