TUESDAY SPOTS OPEN FOR AUGUST!

Looking for a fun, active, and welcoming environment for your little one? Our Tuesday classes are starting up the first week of August, and we have just a few openings left.

To give every child plenty of individual attention and help them thrive, we keep our class sizes small—which means these remaining spots will fill up quickly!

Here is what is available:

2 Year Olds | Tuesdays 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM

Now enrolling!

Cost: $35

3/4 Year Olds | Tuesdays 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM

Only 3 spots remaining!

Cost: $45

Ages 5–10 | Tuesdays 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM

Only 2 spots remaining!

Cost: $55

Why we don't use ballet barres for our youngest dancers:

Most people picture little dancers lined up at a wooden barre. But modern child development and dance medicine show that introducing it too early can actually hold them back!

Here is why we stick to the center floor at Tippy Toes Academy:

Real core strength: Littles tend to hang on the barre like playground equipment, which hurts their posture. Center work teaches them real balance from day one.

Safe, growing joints: Developing hips and ankles shouldn't be forced into unnatural positions. Standing freely protects their natural range of motion.

Better coordination: Moving in open space builds incredible focus, spatial awareness, and confidence through playful balancing games.

We don’t need a wooden bar to build great technique—we use our brains, our cores, and lots of joyful movement instead!

Hi! I'm Melissa Wilkes the owner and instructor at Tippy Toes Academy.

I've been dancing for over 15 years, and ballet has always been one of my greatest passions.

To me, dance is so much more than learning steps—it's a place where children can build confidence, express themselves, and develop self-esteem. My goal is to be a positive influence in each child's life, helping every dancer feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for while fostering a lifelong love of dance.

Ballet Classes Are Starting This August!

At Tippy Toes Academy, we do more than teach ballet steps. We help young dancers build confidence, creativity, coordination, and a love of movement in a fun, encouraging environment where every child feels special.
